A small hotel ideally located near the escalator leading to the ski resort, and also close to the main street, making it a good choice for skiers and families. The hotel itself is pretty decent without being incredible, but offers good breakfast, helpful staffs, and spacious room. Style is traditional japanese but modernized with internet etc... Overall my family and...

Had a short stay in Nozawa to experience the snow. We will definitely be back. The ryokan is centrally located with easy access to Yu road walkalator, it wasn't working when we were there. It's a nice uphill walk. It's location can't be beat for families with kids as there is easy access to everything. The buffet breakfast was good...

Stayed in March 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed the Jon Nobi. Staff were very courteous & hospitable, nothing was an issue and always willing to help - advice, trip bookings, restaurant locations. Room was very comfortable and become "our home" for our 7 night stay. We wanted a Japanese experience and had that in spades at the Jon Nobi & Nozawa...

My wife and I happened on the lovely bar of this ryokan when in Nozawaonsen five years ago and enjoyed an excellent sake. It stuck in our mind, so when we were coming back to the town we studied maps and pictures and worked out which place we'd drunk at. And we booked five nights stay this time. Excellent choice!...

Stayed here in December-despite there being no snow the service team at Jonnobi were so lovely. Always recommending activities for us to do and places to see. Always friendly and polite, calling us by name. Would definitely stay again at any time of the year. Very traditional style rooms including meals and in house Onsen experience. But still had the...

Jonnobi is a great little place to stay in Nozawa. We had two rooms on the top floor - 2 in each room. The Ryokan is spotlessly clean and the staff of the front desk friendly and helpful. Mr Shinichi Mori deserves a particular mention - he assisted us from start to finish and was constantly helping at every turn...

Lovely place to stay. Very clean and with staff that go out of their way to help make your stay enjoyable - even with limited English. PROS: > Traditional Japanese Ryokan with ensuite bathroom (shower) > Very close to many restaurants and main street > Own in-house segregated onsen plus 2 private onsens that you can enjoy with your partner....

Our 6 night stay at Jon Nobi exceeded expectations. When skiing we usually try to stay in apartments but were very pleased with the ryokan accommodation. Our bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of room. The breakfasts offered a good selection and we enjoyed the lobby bar for pre-dinner drinks. Only two things were negative; lack of hanging...

We stayed 7 nights at the Jon Nobi and loved it. It is 3 minutes walk to the "Yu Road" and the ski slopes, right in the middle of the restaurant area, 2 private onsen and 2 public ones as well as being 10 metres from the "O-Yu" public onsen. The rooms (we stayed in a Western one) are a...

I travelled with my wife and 18 year old daughter for 10 days of skiing. John nobi is in the perfect location on a short 100m walk (albeit steep) to the moving walkway which takes you onto the Hikage area of the ski slopes. It is also right in the centre of town allowing easy access to restaurants, shops, onsens...
