We stayed here for 8 nights. Location was handy to the lifts, rooms were ok. Staff helpful especially Haruka. The restaurant and bar food was great, though breakfast was ok in that a lot of Japanese food was wasted in a buffet format. Such a shame. The rooms also lacked some small details like bed lamps. Yes this may be...

We booked a western-style bedroom with 3 beds and found the accommodation comfortable and quiet. There was bedding for a 4th bed in the cupboard so, presumably, this room could sleep 4 but that would leave almost no floorspace so if you have a family of 4 and don't want to feel squashed you may wish to consider 2 rooms....

Stayed for three nights for skiing and to visit the snow monkeys. Very heavy snowfall made the whole town extremely picturesque. There was a lovely warm welcome by the hotel staff, where we were invited to sit and take tea whilst they did the checking in. The room was clean and comfortable for the three of us. There was a...

A small hotel ideally located near the escalator leading to the ski resort, and also close to the main street, making it a good choice for skiers and families. The hotel itself is pretty decent without being incredible, but offers good breakfast, helpful staffs, and spacious room. Style is traditional japanese but modernized with internet etc... Overall my family and...

Had a short stay in Nozawa to experience the snow. We will definitely be back. The ryokan is centrally located with easy access to Yu road walkalator, it wasn't working when we were there. It's a nice uphill walk. It's location can't be beat for families with kids as there is easy access to everything. The buffet breakfast was good...

Stayed in March 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed the Jon Nobi. Staff were very courteous & hospitable, nothing was an issue and always willing to help - advice, trip bookings, restaurant locations. Room was very comfortable and become "our home" for our 7 night stay. We wanted a Japanese experience and had that in spades at the Jon Nobi & Nozawa...

My wife and I happened on the lovely bar of this ryokan when in Nozawaonsen five years ago and enjoyed an excellent sake. It stuck in our mind, so when we were coming back to the town we studied maps and pictures and worked out which place we'd drunk at. And we booked five nights stay this time. Excellent choice!...

Stayed here in December-despite there being no snow the service team at Jonnobi were so lovely. Always recommending activities for us to do and places to see. Always friendly and polite, calling us by name. Would definitely stay again at any time of the year. Very traditional style rooms including meals and in house Onsen experience. But still had the...

Jonnobi is a great little place to stay in Nozawa. We had two rooms on the top floor - 2 in each room. The Ryokan is spotlessly clean and the staff of the front desk friendly and helpful. Mr Shinichi Mori deserves a particular mention - he assisted us from start to finish and was constantly helping at every turn...
