Never been to a traditional Japanese hotel: this is your chance! The rooms have a mat with duvet on the floor, a low table period. Instead of a shower, the hotel has its own onzen (a Japanese traditional bath). Ever wanted to feel like a poached egg? That'll work in the bath. People are super friendly! Be prepared to talk...

We stayed for 4 nights in a western room with private bathroom. Very clean and spacious, good beds, pillows and dunas, comfy chairs, nice view, small bathroom with a good shower. Furusato ticks all the boxes: very close to the lift and close enough to town restaurants. Basic, but adequate breakfast in the morning. Good ski room and drying room....

Once again our Nozawa holiday did not disappoint. Accom at Furusato just perfect, location ideal, price friendly! The snow conditions were amazing , eating out enjoyable and varied. We love Japan! Easy to get to, make sure you visit an Onsen!

Stayed in December 2016, just in time for the snow to start. Unfortunately, not enough snow for the lifts near the lodge to be open, but they would have been incredibly convenient once there's enough snow there! Good rooms, great heating, and friendly staff who worked through the language barrier with us. Very accommodating for breakfast options, just ask (and...

My family & I absolutely love Furusato Lodge. The family that run this Lodge are so lovely, especially love the daughter Fumiko. We have stayed here the last 3 seasons and are booked to come back in January 2017 with friends and family. We have also made quite a few friends from previous years, sitting around the fire place at...

We had a great time here and will be back next year, highly recomend Furusato........... the family that owns and runs the lodge, including the staff made everyone's stay a 10+. The location is about 100 metres to the connection lift (Nagasaka gondie link) at the bottom of the Karasawa run. P.S. the hot sake that is on the fire...

We loved Furusato Lodge. Warm, friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble. Great atmosphere - cosy fire in the lounge area and a good place to meet fellow travellers. Originally tried to get into Villa Nozawa but it was full - actually glad we couldn't as Furusato was quieter and more intimate. Every time we called in at Villa...

I stayed at Resort House Furusato for 5 nights with a group of 8, 6 adults & 2 kids. It was very homely with plenty of room in public areas to relax at the end of the day. Evening meals were delicious & well priced. Rooms were basic but roomy and comfortable. Great storage & drying area for ski gear...

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms clean with plenty of storage. Short walk to ski lift. Only ten minute walk to centre of town, or 200 m to free shuttle bus stop. Was a great family holiday, and I'll definately return there.

This is our second trip to Nozawa-Onsen and just as good as the first. I booked through Nozawa Holiday's as I did last year hoping to stay at Lodge Nagano with Luke and family however they were booked out and they suggested Resort House Furusato as it is part of the Nozawa Holiday's group, so glad we got to stay...
