It was my first trip to Hakuba with a group of friends. The hotel was in a great location, close to the ski resorts. There is a shuttle that could take the guests there and back, otherwise just a 15-30min car ride. The staff were bilingual and extreme helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy, beds were comfortable. I enjoyed...

Stayed there for 7 nights mid January with friends. The room was very spacious and the staff were fantastic. Great English speakers. They drove us to the chair lifts in the morning and drove us to the train station. If they were to busy to drive, they booked a taxi for you. They called restaurants and booked dinner for us....

Shakespeare staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was big. Plenty of food at the buffet breakfast but not a traditional western breakfast. Was in a good location too! We had a great stay!

It's a wonderful hotel! With the shuttle bus stop right in front of the hotel, five gorgeous restaurants in the hotel site, popular pubs nearby! The renovated hotel just added a yoga studio! The friendly staffs make you feel at home! Must try!!

Just came back from Hakuba, Shakespeare Hotel is in excellent location. Bus stop right outside the hotel. Morning breakfast is a simple buffet, with a mixture of Japanese food, salad, soup, bread, sausages. Room is clean and warm, with amenity, it is small but should be good enough. Bed is comfortable. Hotel staff are helpful. Wifi is a bit weak...

Stayed at Shakespeare couple of times (mainly because they have a shuttle bus stop right in front of the hotel and a ton of diners and bars within walking distance).... Couple of better points compared to last time. It seems like bus terminal hub will be situated in front of Spicy Rental which is a 10 second walk to Shakespeare......

I have been back here twice with the family. Very affordable, clean, warm and excellent location for skiing. All you need when you are out skiing all day every day. Complimentary onsen (hot springs) passes are perfect for sore legs every night! Ski shuttle for all mountains stops right outside.

This was a clean and reasonably priced lodge in the mid range. Close to bus stops and restaurants and bars. Closer enough to walk into Hapo shops. I would recommend for families, couples and a mates trip away.

Stayed here for 4 nights in Feb 2016. The rooms were fine, could do with a bit of re decorating, but nothing wrong with them. The staff were very helpful, the manager even took us back to the train station when we checked out. Skiing in the area is very good, there is a free shuttle bus right outside the...
