Got the feel of a staying in traditional Japan room though with western style mattresses on tatami mats - room is very spacious overlooking the ski mountain. They even have a washing machine & dryer at the basement where you could store your rental ski equipment. They have the onsen (Natural Hot Spring). Separate toilet & bathroom - a bit...

The hotel is well located to nearby ski field and Hakuba Square. We were treated extremely well by very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant served excellent Wygu as well as other options and the service was great. We were very for fortunate to be upgraded to a large room which had a magnificent view over the snow covered mountains....

We stayed in march 17 for a ski holiday and cannot say enough about the hotel and staff. The hotel is easy walking distance to the ski field or you can take one of the free buses. We had a traditional room looking over the ski field/ mountains which was really good... the beds were soft and the big window...

We stayed here in Feb 2017 and had a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. We have minimal Japanese, but they had enough English that it was not a problem. The onsen in the hotel is very nice and so convenient. The food is great. The restaurant staff are lovely and nice. The hotel was...

We have just returned from a week of skiing and staying the Hotel Goryukan. We were very happy with this accommodation. Rooms were clean and had great views of the surrounding mountains. The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful even when we arrived at 1 am after being delayed by our airline. (thanks Jetstar) The hotel is located about...

Very comfortable place to stay, the rooms are huge and the beds are comfortable although they are mattresses on the floor. There is a lovely indoor and outdoor onsen perfect to soothe sore muscles after a day of skiing. The bus to the Evergreen ski school stops just outside the hotel at 9am each day or the hotel shuttle goes...

Older hotel refurbished ...rooms, restaurant, bar & reception area all updated. Great location with beautiful mountain views. Staff were knowledgable & helpful, with shuttle service available to transport guests around Hakuba. Because of the very reasonable tariff we expected a far inferior style of accommodation so were happily surprised when we checked into The Goryuken. Would definitely stay again if...

We stayed as a family of four along with another family, for six nights in January. The lodge was comfortable & spacious, with nice bar, restaurant & lobby. Breakfast was included as a standard buffet, & we ate dinner there as well a few times, enjoying a fairly eclectic menu with Western & Japanese options. The onsen was fantastic, with...

The staff here are so friendly and helpful, advising us on restaurants and booking taxis for us. It didn't take us long to get into our habit of breakfast, ski, return for onsen and out to dinner. The beds are comfy but we were all in the one room. The breakfasts and food are pretty good but generally we preferred...
