We loved Berg Land! The owners are really friendly. The rooms are very clean and there's plenty of room to unpack your gear. We loved the upstairs onsen each afternoon after a taxing day out on the slopes. The bus from Nagano literally drops you right outside the hotel. The information centre is next door, as is the ski hire...

This was my first visit to the Japanese snowfields and I chose Hakuba given it's good beginner runs, and had a lots of good hotel choices. The Bergland is a smaller traditional Japanese style inn, located right in the middle of Happo and next to the bus terminal, the hotel is run by the elderly owners, who do their best...

What a find! Mr Tanaka -San and wife are so hospitable. Our Japanese is atrocious but they were so helpful. Onsen 5th floor. Dry room & lockers downstairs for your gear (lockable). Laundry and dryer on the second floor. We had daily traditional Japanese breakfast on the 2nd floor and western food can be arranged. Rooms were cleaned daily. We...

Excellent location. Right next to tourist information where staff spoke good English. Free shuttle buses to bring you to the ski centers. The bus station to the train station is also here. Across the road is the ramen store which we went twice because it was so good. Nearby is a convenience store where you could buy lots of finger...

Thank you for using this hotel from many institutions. I think for the customers, and when it did not I feel the inconvenience from the hotel elsewhere, it is not large. I believe service, and than was possible a little more if I could speak conversation. I study hard to when you can see you next time. We are looking...

I've stayed here multiple times. Relatively new rooms, spacious (by Japanese standards), VERY well-priced vs the competition and the location can't be beat as it is next to the Happo Information Center / Bus Station so easy access and bilingual "concierge" right there. The management doesn't speak much English but do everything they can to make you feel welcome.

From the facility that there is a number, you will find the Hakuba Berg-land, thank you for this time. I do not speak English fluently, our is a smattering, but you have let me be the service somehow. It is still lack of study. To the visitor who had you come, and we will respond as much as possible. We booked this hotel without too much reference information but we surely got it right. First the location is perfect for a skier as all the busses for the ski areas in the valley leave 20 steps away from the main entrance. You also are in as centrally located as possible in Happo village, still you have a fairly long...

“Choose a higher floor if you don't smoke. We stayed on the third floor and could smell the cigarettes when we were outside our door. There is a smoking area in the reception and the air filtration is not so good.”
