I went on trip to visit my extended family in Panama City and we found this place to stay for a few days on the beach. The hotel is right in front of the beach, the rooms affordable, food was diverse and the prices were reasonable. The rooms were clean and the staff service was good. This is not a...

If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, don't go here. But Bay View was a great stop for us as we bopped along Panama's Pacific coast. It's one of the few restaurants directly on the beach (or sand, as the area has huge tide swings) and the food is quite good. And for just $10 more, we were able to...

The hotel is located in the sleepy surf beach residential area of San Carlos. It is located on a very clean beach where you can walk for miles when the tide goes out. The room was small, but perfect. It had the only balcony over looking the beach, adjacent river and the entire coastline! Precious. The seafood was excellent with...

While the location of the accommodation is good, the rooms have broken facilities and there even was fungus in the bathroom. The service in the restaurant is bad in the way of slow serving, forgetting what we ordered and the availability of food. The interior is out of date. Prices are O.K. when all above mentioned things are correct but...

The worst part of this hotel is the rudeness and the inhospitality of the people who work there...in particular the old lady who works at the reception. At 4.00 p.m the toilet wasn't working (we were four people sharing the room!) and nobody did anything untill 7.00 p.m. When we told them again that the toilet still wasn't working, the...

This have become a favourite for us. Small hotell, quiet, with good food at decent prices. Clean, friendly personel and close to the wonderful El Palmar beach, which is perfect for getting started with surfing. We will come back many more times!

since the hotel we had planned on staying at was full we were referred to the bayview hotel. They are well located on a surfing spot, right on the ocean. The terrace where you can eat/ drink is on the water and has great views. The rooms are ok, mostly clean. One room (#10) had a real good kind size...

The hotel is at best the worse small town american hotel but on a beach. There is no water or electricity frequently, especially in the middle of a shower, which is one stream of water - and is either extremely hot or cold. I also had things stolen, all that could be proved was returned. However since I did not...

Originally we were to stay in a friend's duplex in the Altos del Maria area. As it turned out the people staying there extended their stay. We traveled to the Bayview El Palimar Resort to check on a room. Since it was still the "low" season and a Monday we had no trouble getting a room. We requested a king...
