We were excited to be booked in for New Year but were left disappointed by a hotel that doesn't offer the standard of a 4*. On a positive note the location is excellent, the fireplace is impressive and the staff are friendly. However, this is overshadowed by rooms that are dated and have almost non-existent sound insulation. The ski shop...

Fantastic location, unbelievable view if you get a room overlooking the valley. Food and bar were both very good. Ski rental is in the hotel, and it is close to the ski lift. Staff were extremely helpful and kind, especially after I had an accident and had to leave the car behind in their underground car park.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. A huge variety of delicious foods at breakfast. Reception staff exemplary. Access to the slopes good. A one minute walk up to gentle blue slopes from the hotel and ski back in to the boot room. Our 6 year old was able to achieve this. However the room we had on the third floor...

Great little hotel, 2 mins walk to the nearest piste (gentle blue), which takes you to a couple of chair lifts to the main slopes. Good that there is a ski shop on site. You can also store boots and skis there at the end of the day. Staff very friendly. Lovely breakfast and evening meal buffet nice too with...

Compared to 4 other Mercure Hotels we visited in the French Alps, Mercure Les Arcs 1800 is by far the best regarding quality, service and friendliness. The atmosphere is perfect and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Nothing to complain with the food except that we prefer service at the table at least for the main course. The Hotel...

Just got back from a long weekend of skiing in Les Arcs, and stayed at Hotel Mercure. We will be back... It is imbeciably clean. I don't think I've stayed in a cleaner hotel. We felt bad walking into the reception off the slopes with our snow-covered gear on, but they didn't seem to mind! The breakfasts are excellent. A...

Caters for big numbers for a ski hotel. Was there for New Year and was very impressed. Service good, buffet at breakfast was first class, rooms good if beds a little firm. Only 5 minute walk to get to ski slope access

The Mercure is a solid choice for anyone looking for good access to slopes and town. The food was great, rooms a decent size and some spectacular views of the mountains. As a chalet person I found it lacking an element of personality (and hot tub) but beyond that I couldn't fault it.

We stayed in a Mercure brand hotel at a different location, last year on a short ski trip. We kind of knew what to expect. But we were quite blown away this time.. The hotel has a beautiful reception hall, restaurant and a bar with a piano for some live music. Ski rental shop is located actually in the hotel...
