From the moment we arrived we were utterly seduced by the charms of this family run hotel. The incredibly warm greetings from the owner, the exceptionally high quality of the food, the attentive well trained staff, the gorgeous architecture of the building all combined for a memorable stay. Scottish hospitality is safe in the hands of people like this. Left...

First of all the view and grounds of this establishment are marvellous and the building itself is a joy to behold. Then when you get inside, the architecture is unusual and splendid... being like in the salon of a great luxury liner from times gone by. Now... the food. What is there to say? The fare at the LOL is...

I have visited this place for the first time, during recently past Easter weekend. With a group of friends we have decided to 'pop in' for an afternoon cuppa during this mild weather. We have been treated to lovely tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Staff was always very polite and welcoming. The place is magnificent. Do you really need much...

We recently visited Lands of Loyal for afternoon tea. We were welcomed into the large main hall, complete with roaring fire, and invited to relax on the very comfortable chairs with drinks until our table was prepared. The hall is incredibly spectacular, wood panelling, pictures on the walls, and a large ornate staircase etc. Our waitress soon ushered us into...

We had afternoon tea after walking in Glen Doll on a lovely spring afternoon. All the staff were friendly and attentive and the roaring log fire was a cosy addition to the beautiful reception room. The food was delicious and more than we could manage. The best macaroons I've ever had and a lovely range of cakes. A great way...

We decided to go out for lunch to the Lands of Loyal Hotel. We had a warm greeting by Sandie who immediately made us very welcome indeed. We enjoyed a pre-lunch drink in the amazingly original lounge in front of a roaring log fire, bliss! Sandie is very knowledgeable about the hotels history and what a good idea the readily...
