At the end of a month long hiking trip, my husband and I stayed one night at La Soglina. We had a large room with a balcony that overlooked the village church, the town and mountains. It was shaded in early morning, but soon the sun streamed in. The staff was very responsive in giving us the requested extra pillows...

After a challenging hike it was a pleasure to stumble into Soglio and find this hotel. Such a large room with a glorious view of the mountains. Eating outside on the generous patio was an added bonus.

We did not stay in the hotel, but did eat a meal there during our stay in Soglio. It was late (we had just arrived) and were famished. The view from the dining room was spectacular, but every view in Soglio is. The food was good, (tho high priced, but that is the norm in Switzerland) and staff very friendly....

Soglio is a tipical mountain village, roads there no car can pass, between the houses spectacular views on the mountains or down deep into the valley. A few meters from this village lies the hotel. All rooms have 'mountainview'. Our room was very big (compared to Swiss Hotels). Almost no traffic on the road in front, none in the night....

If you are looking for a hotel with a view of the glorious Swiss mountains, then this is it! The mountains are almost in touching distance of the hotel and the views from the terrace (and most of the rooms) are just glorious. Soglio is a very special place and this family run hotel is the icing on the cake....

I just spent 5 nights at La Soglina with 2 hiking friends. We loved everything about it. The hotel sits just above the town and the views of the surrounding mountains are superb. The terrace invites one to sit outside, enjoying a drink and admiring the view. In the morning, if one of us arrived for breakfast before the others,...

Soglio is a sleepy little town perched in the Swiss Alps. When you walk the streets its easy to feel like you've been transported back in time a few centuries. It's a pleasant surprise, then, to walk into this charming, comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean any many have terrific views of the town below. The dinner we...

Arriving in for the first time Soglio after 10 days of trekking through the Engadine region was one of the highlights of our trip. More than any other village we visited, we felt that we had stepped back in time. The village is tiny, perched on a hillside far above a magnificent valley. The pace is slow. Hotel La Soglina...

We arrived in Soglio after a hard day's walk in late June. It is a beautiful town tucked away in the mountains. Magnificant views. Very quite. This hotel is on the edge of the town. It to was very quite. too. Probably the time of year we visited. Welcome was ok but we had to take our heavy bags to...

“My room was over the dining area. I would recommend the top floor. However, my room had marvelous views of the mountains and was very large and sunny. Wi-fi is not in the room but is free in the downstairs area.”
