Booked here after we couldn't get into the Falcon (it would have been our first visit) we had a single stack burger with Onion rings.. It was absolutely lovely. Tasty, juicy and lush homemade chips, and homemade onion rings. Lovely lemon tart for pudding and a lovely pint of local ale that was only £2.70 a pint! Probably the nicest...

Four of us came last Sunday for my Mum's birthday. Lovely restaurant, friendly and efficient service. Lovely young lady sat us down and took our drink order to save us queuing in the bar. We all had roast beef - probably the best roast I've ever eaten out - Locally reared and slow cooked over night, it was delicious. There...

We booked this venue after many rave reviews from colleagues and friends however we were left very disappointed. It was my daughters birthday and I wanted a great atmosphere with great food. That was not what we got! We waited at least 45 minutes between ordering starter of pâté and main. The starter arrived without red onion, which was collected...

I'm a regular diner and sometime drinker at the Rose and crowns sister pub the Falcon and attempted to get a table booked for a recent visit from my dad, as expected there was no chance. However the Rose and Crown had recently aligned their menu with the Falcon so managed to bag an early table for 5 on Saturday...

Heard about these burgers and went with er indoors to check if they were as legendary as chef/managers (self proclaimed) bowling! We weren,t disappointed, tasty huge double stack burgers, great chunky crispy chips and a suprisingly really nice side salad finished us both off to the point of only being able to look at the pudding menu! Well worth a visit...

This is a great little village pub in Nympsfield. Staff were friendly and helpful ( especially for food intolerances) and food was fresh and tasty. Pub was warm & welcoming. My only gripe was the loos were not as clean as they could be.

A lovely little country pub with fantastic food but could do with a little TLC on decor and the facilities. The menu was great, steak amazing but the service was a little slow. Would certainly return for a second time.

We booked at short notice and were warned that service could be slow as a large party had booked the restaurant. This also meant we would be seated in the bar. The bar was warmed by a wood burner and locals were very friendly and welcoming. The service was slow as predicted but we did not mind as we were...

Really liked this place. Went for a Sunday roast and liked the pub. It feels like a proper English pub. Locals were there having a drink, it wasn't just a food pub (the back is mainly restaurant and the front is a proper pub where you can eat). But the food was lovely, and the staff were really friendly. They...
