We stayed at the Quoys for 5 nights in September 2015 and had a lovely stay. We'd booked the B&B in the main house but were upgraded to The Granary under 'B&B conditions' (i.e. breakfast provided by Caroline) at no extra cost. Heaps of room for us - kitchen, lounge room, dining room and 3 bedrooms with ensuites to chose... More

We stayed with Caroline and Kevin at the beginning of September, Puffin Quoy was our home for the week and that's just what it felt like home. The ambience is relaxing, and guests can totally chill, the kitchen is equipped with every modern convenience, but Caroline will prepare evening meals and breakfasts and deliver to your cottage, guests can have... We stayed at the B&B for four nights and were really pleased with everything! The room is not really spacious, but absolutely lovely decorated. You find everything you need and it's absolutely quiet - the Orkney air guarantees you a great night's sleep. The hosts are such lovely and caring people - we felt at home from the very first... The Quoy of Houton is the best B&B we have ever stayed at ever. And, we have stayed at a lot. But, I don't just mean that it was over the top luxurious. It is a restored old cottage, so while the room is absolutely in the top of comfort (amazing bed, top of the line thread count sheets and... More

We have just arrived back to Northumberland after our third year staying in the Granary, once again we have just loved being back to Orkney and to this wonderful accommodation. Always great to see Caroline and Kevin who are brilliant hosts. There are three couples in our party and the Granary works perfectly as it has three very comfortable en... More

Orkney was a highlight of our 3-week tour of the Scottish Highlands, and the Quoy of Houton was the most spectacular accommodation we have ever experienced. We had originally booked for 3 nights at the B&B which is inside Kevin and Caroline's beautifully restored 18th century home. However, following a cancellation for the self-catering "Granary", we were fortunate to stay... More

We stayed in the B&B (double room in the main house), the room was very nice and super comfortable, the en suite a bit small but ok for a short stay. Service and breakfast both excellent and Caroline and Kevin are very nice host. Special mention for Crumble, lovely dog!

We recently spent four nights at the Granary and it was one of the best stays we have ever had. The place is a bit hard to find but the seclusion was part of the charm. Kevin and Caroline have built a top class establishment that excels in every sense. As hosts, they couldn't be any more charming and accommodating.... More

We stayed as self-catering guests in Puffin Quoy. There is another self-catering place on site called The Granary, and also Caroline does B&B. Puffin Quoy is an ideal place for two. We loved it. The view over the Bay is captivating: we watched the ferry go out, and the birds swoop around. The sunrises were spectacular. The whole place is... More

“There is one B&B room, and 2 self-catering cottages, therefore the accommodations are quite different. The cottages are generally intended for longer, self-catered stays, but if you're lucky, breakfast and other meals are available at an additional charge.”
