The hostel has everything you need and is perfectly located. Great staff, especially Maya!!! When I turned sick she helped me so much! She organized my visit to the best possible clinic very quickly and 100 % reliable! When we were on our way to the clinic by taxi and realized that the taxi driver demanded too much money we...

I stayed at this hostel with two of my friends for a week in early November. Great hostel, lots of areas to socialise, clean, comfy beds and free surf boards to rent! Also has a ping pong table! A big big shout out to Carol who made us the best lunch each day and put up with three British guys...

Best hostel in the area, excellent hospitality, and a very interesting place to stay of you're looking to rest and explore. Nature is around and the hostel offer several entertainments to its guests. It's worth staying in Barra Beach Club.

Barra Beach Hostel was the perfect end to an unforgettable 2 week trip travelling around Brazil. My friend and I started in Rio, then took a transfer to Ilha Grande, back to Rio, flew to Iguazu Falls and then an overnight bus to Florianopolis. The overnight bus was amazing.. Fully reclinable seats, USB charging ports in each chair, free wifi...

We loved Barra Beach Club! It is right on the beach with amazing views of the ocean. The breakfast was fantastic and the free caipirinha was so wonderful every night and a great way to bring people together. The very cheap dinners were enormous and restaurant quality! There were always activities and social outings organised which was great. I recommend...

Shower was warm Beds were comfy Wifi was average but useable for Instagram uploads. Breakfast was good. I can't fault the hostel but... This place is very season and weather dependent, as there is lots of surfing and beach activities to do so check weather before coming to Florianópolis

I arrived late in the evening and was still able to enjoy the dinner the hostels sells for 30RS which is not expensive for Floripa food! The chef Laura produces great dishes and are absolutely worth it. The bar area where you`ll have breakfast as well is a great location to overlook the "private" beach and the surrounding area, The...

Pros: superb location overlooking a small enclosed beach, and only about two blocks away from the main Barra de Lagoa bus stop and the fantastic Prahia Mocambique beach. Excellent free breakfast (toasties, cake and a variety of tropical fruit), a reasonably priced treetop bar. Great restaurant-quality dinner available every night for a little less than typical Floripa restaurant prices, or...

So our stay here was amazing anyway, great views, great breakfast, great atmosphere. But seriously, the staff are incredible. We left our very expensive camera in the hostel before we flew elsewhere and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get it back to us, even when we were another country. Honestly, we were so lucky as I doubt anywhere else...

Amazing view from the breakfast and bar area. Surfboards and equipment free for rent, but not the best. Great staff, best vibes. Small rooms, but more than enough common area. Bbq, table tennis, snooker, hammocks, cats, dogs, well equipped kitchen Bring cash - closest atm is 20 minutes bus ride away. Hostel accepts cards for 5% charge

“Dorms are cheaper but the twin rooms though small are much quieter and comfy (there are some local night spots in the near by town which means groups going out late come back very late) - but in the off season dorms aren't full so pretty good.”
