We had a nice stay at La Dominotte, however at times we felt slightly uncomfortable with the way that it is run. It describes itself as a hotel, we think it is more a homestay. When we arrived few minutes after 4pm, we had to wait for quite a while before anyone came to check us in, it clearly says...

Just a perfect place to enjoy the burgundy area in a real burgundy kind off place. Owners are friendly and will run the extra mile for you. They help you decide your daily activities, pick out good restaurants in the area. Nice rooms and good breakfast! Really enjoyed it!

Bad accomodation. Because of the humid smell in the room I felt like sleeping in a 2 star hotel. Basic breakfast Very unfriendly hostess Not family friendly. Breakfast from 8h45 is too late Will not book this again

positive: - location near the great Beaune negative: - price tricks with their rooms, and once you find out, you feel already ripped off. - if you book with booking.com they call you to say you have to cancel via booking.com so that they do not loose their % to booking - major moisture problem in part of the hotel...

While La Dominotte advertises itself as a Charme Hotel, except for the lovely exterior we found few charming things there. Our ground-floor room was dark, smelled of damp and had no window we could open to freshen things up. Besides that, it was large with a low ceiling and filled with mostly nothing. The bathroom is immense yet feels like...

We picked La Dominotte from a book entitled Chateau and Hotels by Alastair Sawday and the problem started there. They charged 149 euros per night for a double room which is what you would pay in a hotel, however, the service and facilities provided were what you would expect from a bed and breakfast. I also wrongly assumed that somewhere...

The owners are not friendly towards young families with children. Although paying 120 euros per night, you get very limited service in return. Hot beverages and other drinks can only be obtained during reception hours. There is no coffee machine or fridge in the rooms, so after 8 pm it is not possible to have any drinks at all. The...

Unfortunately we had a negative experience with this place. We booked a room for more than €140 per night and were disappointed by the service and the room itself: no fridge or minibar, no facilities to make your own tea or coffee, no airconditioning, simply furnished. We discussed our expectations with the hosts but did not receive any cooperation but...

From the outset Martin and Mary made us most welcome with a good cup of Tea after a long trip down. The room was most comfortable, the other guests most friendly and htere was a very enjoyable breakfast. Unfortunatley the unseasonable weather did not allow us to enjoy the garden and swimming pool which on a fine day would have...

We booked La Dominotte for a 2 night stopover driving from Provence to Paris. We wanted to visit Beaune and do some wine tasting in the Burgundy region. The village, Demigny, that the hotel is in is very picturesque, lots of lovely stone buildings slightly reminiscent of the Cotswolds! The actual hotel is also really lovely, an old stone building...
