A pretty room with modern, large, well-appointed bathroom. Warm reception and exceptional service. The nearby town was a pleasant walk, and the aim of our visit, Les Jardins de Metis or Reford Gardens, was a lovely 30-minute drive. A perfect short stay.

My wife and I stayed as usual at room # 3; this time for three nights. Books instead TV and the sounds of waves was what we were looking for. Dinner and breakfast are included in the price. Breakfast and dinner are what a food lover dreams of. Local produce, that is fish, seafood and even game are on the...

An absolutely beautiful auberge. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. Rooms were impeccable. Our suppers were an absolute delight. We tried every item on the menu and raved about them all. (Our favourite was the salmon tartare). Will absolutely be coming back next year!!!

My husband and I stayed two nights in this wonderful inn. Its in a small village on the shore that was friendly and quaint. There are two kayaks we used to explore the river shoreline. There is a very nice cafe and artisan shop a short block away for lunch. The breakfasts and dinners were wonderful--fresh and expertly prepared. The...

I think that these owners take their customers for granted. The place is tired and more like a youth hostel and probably suits some tastes. The sheets and duvet had multiple stains, you can see the photos for yourself. At 8am there was absolutely no hot water, not even lukewarm.

This auberge right by the water's edge seemed to emerge from the pages of a novel. The owner was formerly a librarian so the place was filled with books and lounge chairs to stretch out in or curl up in to begin a literary voyage or dreamlike one if you prefer to doze off under the sun. A walk or...

From the time we checked in, the entire staff of the Auberge made us feel welcome. Even though the Auberge, and its staff, are only open and on duty for four months a year, this is a very professional operation. Our room on the second floor was beautifully appointed and we loved the view of the sunset from its balcony....

We arrived at this auberge after a long, rainy day spent driving from Quebec City and crossing the St Lawrence. It was dark when we arrived and later than we had anticipated but the owner of the inn (the father) was waiting for us to show us to our room. We were upgraded to a room facing the river which...

Métis-sur-Mer is at the door of la Gaspésie and there is a certain "roughness" to the view and the air which I love. Our room (traveling with my mother) was in the adjacent building and was facing the St-Lawrence. I enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs and feeling the wind and crisp air. I don't know about the rooms in...

Yes, the ambience makes this place, lovely view from the rooms, the staff was accommodating. The food is excellent. The place is run by a father and 2 sons, the hours these folks put in means it is a labour of love. The rooms are tastefully decorated, get one with a balcony overlooking the water. Plenty of French literature, however,...
