Stayed in log cabin #11. The most important thing for us is cleanliness and as we entered the cabin we could see it truely was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows and blanket (not needed), a very effective reverse cycle air con (heat cycle needed!) and a clean cooker, microwave and fridge. Just a 5 minute drive to George Town. The owners were so helpful with arrangements for our late arrival from Queensland (11pm), this is without question our choice of accommodation in the area. Gwyneth.

We were going to the penguin tour and I didn't want to drive back to Launceston in the dark so I booked a family cabin at this tourist park. It was neat and clean, with a double bed and 3 bunks. Hot running water, heater, electric blanket, TV, microwave etc. It had everything we needed, though if I were to go again I'd probably pay a little more for one of the larger water view cabins, as this one was somewhat cramped and very close to the cabin next door, I heard their kids jumping around in the morning lol. Having said that, I slept like a log here it was so quiet without any traffic noise whatsoever, so I'm not complaining! Low Head is very quiet, be aware, not much open after dark unless you drive to George Town. I had prepared for that though and we bought our own food to heat up in the kitchenette. The owners were friendly too.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay with us. The Cottages are recommended for longer stays as they are more spacious and better appointed. The Cabins are suitable for those traveling on a budget or for an overnight pit stop for the penguin tour which is a short five-minute drive from our location. Our location is quiet and very peaceful. George Town is 3 kilometers away and has plenty of dining and takeaway options and a Woolworths Supermarket that is open until 10 pm.

We just recently stay here and upon arrival the reception was extremely friendly and the lady helped us with where to go for dinner as my children have coeliac and finding a place to eat can become changeling at times. We stayed in a water view cottage cabin and it was clean and homely and the view from our room of the river was great. Thoroughly recommend .

We stayed on a powered site with Ensuite. The park is immaculately presented, sites are clearly marked and level. clean ammenities, great little laundry with washing machines, dryers and clothes lines. Has a few cabins as well.
No children facilities on what I could see.
Right across the road from the Tamar River. Great walking / bike riding path right across the road, which takes you to a great swimming area at the end of the road and you can continue on to the Historical Site, Lagoon bay etc
Very quiet park. Definately recommend to stay !!!

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Much appreciated. We work hard to keep our park well presented and maintained for our guests to enjoy. We do have a children's playground on the property that is located behind reception which is very popular with our young guests. We are conveniently located halfway between the meeting point for the nightly penguin tour, safe swimming beaches, maritime museum and all the conveniences of nearby George Town which has some fantastic dining options and a Woolworths Supermarket open 7 days. The kanamaluka Trail opposite our park is popular with bike riders and walkers. Also across the road is a small beach which at high tide is an ideal place to launch a kayak and go for a paddle.

Friendly welcome and all ready for us on arrival. Great advice on local attractions was very welcome and supplemented our tour list. Cabin 10 was outstanding for the tariff paid; roomy, well equipped facilities, another comfortable bed and totally suitable for a longer stay than our one night. Great location to enjoy walking trails or, for the less able, like us, easy driving to all attractions. Relaxing, and we would happily stay here again.

If you’re coming to see the Penguins, stay here at the Low Head tourist park. The cabins are clean and comfortable but Craig the owner was fantastic. Craig took the time to chat to us about the history of the area and some other great spots to visit besides the Penguins. We’re off to see seahorses and platypus today. A lovely spot to relax with a drink and look at the river while the sun sets. Will definitely stay again

What a great experience we had here! We hadn’t booked anywhere just arrived at their door. We decided on a water view cabin for the night. Everything was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. Sarah on the desk was so very helpful and friendly. Had a great night’s sleep after a meal at Gray’s hotel in George Town. A very lovely little town. Nice walk along the shore line too.
Just an excellent stay. Thank you
