Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Allan and Stacey were perfect hosts, amenities were clean, evidence of wildlife abundant, loved the many wood carvings outside the front. With the beach on our doorstep and Georgetown, which we also loved, so handy, this is a must do on your Tassie adventure.

Stayed in a cabin for 2 nights, early May. Friendly staff. Easy walking distance to the beach and to Low Head lighthouse / Pilot museum. Tea / coffee making provisions provided, as well as a microwave and toaster, which we used to self cater as we were aware before arriving there are no restaurants nearby. The lunchtime cafe at the Pilot Station was closed the days we were staying - open 5 days a week. George Town however is just 10 minutes drive down the road for restaurants / supermarket etc. Cabin has seen better days but attempted to do up, ie bathroom, but needs a bit more TLC to get to a better standard, ie tv cabinet. cupboards by the sink. Curtains could do with replacing, but for what was paid for the two nights, was adequate.

The park is located in a beautiful scenic area. Close to amenities. Experience was marred by the rude response my husband and I experienced requesting two extra coffee sachets and towels on the second night we stayed. My husband was lectured that this was a budget property and not given two sachets of coffee, but was provided with two towels. When the owner brought the two towels she asked me "haven't you ever stayed at a caravan park". On reflection, we were in a cabin, not a tent, every single budget hotel/motel we have ever stayed in provide ample coffee/tea. My feedback is regarding the parks owner. If you do not wish to provide extra coffee or towels, simply say no and leave it at that. Neither my husband or myself wanted or needed a lecture or judgement. I found this incredibly rude. I will not spend my money at this establishment again. I imagine the owner will say something nasty as she seems to have against any other genuine feedback others have provided. If this interaction had not happened then out rating would have been 5. We would have been happy to pay an extra $1 for two sachets of instant coffee without the vitriol.

We stay in wheelchair accessible cabins not because I am in a wheelchair but because I have a balance problem due to a medical condition and unable to use stairs. We go over about 4 times a year to visit family and always stay here, this was the first time since the new owners took over and they are just as helpful and inviting as was the previous ones. It is great accommodation and so relaxing listening to sound of the waves from the beach.every cabin has a great ballon to sit out on. Every clean and spacious the usual coffee tea etc supplied and they are in the process of opening an ice-creamery and coffee shop, we would not stay any where else.

We stayed here last minute due to a change in plans. The owners were so friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to give us information and spots to visit. Facilities were very clean and the beach was amazing. A lovely little spot to have time at the beach, go for a walk to the lighthouse or enjoy the lake. Would highly recommend staying here!

We went to Low Head for the Penguin tour (awesome) and stayed here for the night. The new owners were friendly and very helpful with suggestions for dinner in George Town. The room was immaculately clean, the beds comfy, the shower was hot and we had everything we needed in the kitchenette to make our breakfast. My daughter loved the resident dog and our cabin was a short walk to the beach or a short drive to all the attractions in Low Head. Highly recommended.
