We stayed at the Saraii Village, along with our 3 kids (4, 5 and 10), for 2 nights. We really enjoyed the Mud Chalet and the sense of freedom it gave us. We enjoyed being in the open air, including the outside bathroom where we were delighted to be visited by birds and squirrels while showering! The chalet we were...

Living on a tree house with dense forest around can be thrilling and at night times it was scary with animal voices surrounding you. Their Breakfast by the Lake was die for. The Tree House was a one off experience and the rooms and shower were well furnished and equipped. Special mention for the food, it was delicious. We had...

Hotel service level is zero. we paid so much and stayed there for two nights. and have to ask for every single thing from soap to bed linen. Safety was even worse. there were nails everywhere, I went with my child and the experience was horrifying. Pool was slippery. Had no choice of food. I had to ask for a...

We booked Saraai Village (Superior tree house, Mud chalet and Mud Chalet suit) for a holiday during 10 to 12th December. It tries to create a perception for the visitors as an ECO lodge but we were truly, disappointed about the service. our family stayed there for two nights on half board basis and not a single service was provided...

We stayed in the treehouse, which we loved. It was a very fun way to spend 2 nights, we regularly stay in places like that. Saraii, however, was different. It was very expensive for what we got in return. The village is also not close to much at all, meaning eating options are essentially restricted to their own restaurant, which...

If you have read my other reviews you will know that I rarely write negative things. This experience, however, was hideous. We arrived on what looked like a building site... because,in fact, it WAS a building site. Noisy and messy building work was going on, during what they called the "high season". There was junk all over the place on...

Saraii was a unique experience. We stayed in a Tree House and it was amazing. All my friends we tried it for the first time. Except for the mosquitoes and other bugs, it was a comfortable stay. Food was tasty but didn't have a good selection. For breakfast we had only two options to select from. From the first call...

I have spent four days at Saraii Village while I was backpacking Sri Lanka. I purchased a yoga retreat package from Australia which included three nights accommodation on a tree house, three meals a day, excursions, one ayurvedic massage and obviously daily yoga and meditation classes. Place is nice and totally different experience. As a traveler there are lot more things need improve. cleanliness , privacy and the service. Mud chalets are very basic and need privacy in terms of bathrooms. also some windows are totally opened without anything which might be not good in terms of security. staff are very friendly.

We stayed in the tree house suite. There are stairs to get to the room (no need to climb a ladder 😊). You should prepare your self for this.
