The Tower Bank Arms sits between the Buckle Yeat Guest house (highly recommended) and Hill Top (Beatrix Potter's home). The pub is very welcoming with a good selection of beers. Although we didn't eat there we could other people tucking into good hearty pub food. The very old 'range' in the main bar had a blazing fire going when we...

We had some time before entering the Hill Top Farm attraction and fancied popping into Tower Bank Arms for a spot of tea. A delightful place (and part of the setting for Potter's tales). Was very clam and relaxing with welcoming staff. A lovely little gem. Very much recommended!

We were staying in Near Sawrey to get away from the main places of Ambleside/Bowness/Keswick etc. Lovely little village with Tower Bank Arms being the main drinking/eating establishment. The first night we could not get served or fed as the pub was so busy. Yes, it is small and yes it has a captive audience - so get there early!!...

Myself and my wife stayed here for a night with our dog. All 3 of us were made very welcome from the start. Our room (Tan) was small but had lots of character and was perfect a night. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was superb. It was lovely relaxing by the open fire after...

The attention to detail and the level of customer care is very special. A calm relaxing approach with a personal touch. Nothing is too much trouble and everything has been thought of. We stayed for 2 days over Easter, from the personalised welcome from Jimmy when we arrived to the chocolate Easter bunnies at our final breakfast , everything was...

My husband and I called for lunch last week and felt we had to comment on what a fantastic place Tower Bank Arms is! The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, especially the chap behind the bar, who kindly showed us the bedrooms as they were empty, as we are thinking of booking an overnight stay, the food was...

A little gem of a pub, with a varied menu to suit different tastes. Service was marvellous throughout , including finding us a table near the old fire place. Food was delicious and plentiful, definitely a return trip to be planned.

I stayed at the pub by myself on a quick break in the Lakes and the service and facilities were superb. Anthony welcomed me with a cup of coffee in front of the fire and when I returned from my day out Jimmy was also very helpful and I had a delicious (very filling!) meal of beef and ale stew...

We made two trips to the tower bank arms on this trip to the lakes, both delightful! A traditional English pub with friendly staff, a log fire, a good pint and high quality food set in the most beautiful part of the lakes. Couldn't ask for more and will definitely return.
