We had a night here before going tramping. The accommodation was fantastic and the owners very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and they looked after some of our gear while we were away tramping. They were super helpful - giving us some dishes so we could eat breakfast in our room. We will definitely...

Stayed here for one night after driving down Motueka on our way to the west coast. Wish we could have stayed another night. Lovely, spacious lodge in a quite town (or village size if in England). Beautiful location, like all of New Zealand places, with Lake Rotoiti a 2 minute walk away (staggering when you come of the trees) and...

We stayed for one night in a superior room and had no particular issues with our room or overall. The hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens which are lovely and attract birdlife. It snowed overnight on the alpine region behind the hotel which made for a lovely photo the next morning. Overall, the hotel rooms are comfortable but a little...

This hotel is excellently located for both of Nelson lakes. The rooms were spacious and the bar/ restaurant had good portioned and quality food at a very reasonable price. The decor is looking dated though and could be updated.

This is my wife and I's second stay at the Alpine Lodge and its location is second to none. The staff are very friendly and the rooms a clean and well kept. The let down is that things are starting to look a bit old, especially the bathrooms and the price is up there as well. There isn't a great...

A beautiful setting with snow on the hills. Easy to reach from Nelson and the lodge is very welcoming. Rooms were excellent with big bathrooms and good heating when cold. Restaurant & Bar staff were all great and the food was top notch. We were their for a wedding and the lodge catered for this event second to none.

Stayed here in a private room in the backpacker building on two speatte nights, with a night away in between. Room shave shared facilities and there was no hot water in the men's bathroom. Management said they were working on it but it was not resolved before we left the following morning, so no warm shower. Two days later on...

All our guests matter regardless of whether hotel or backpacker guests so we are sorry you felt you had a disappointing experience especially as the Owner/Manager made a point of going over to the Backpackers with you in an effort to try and resolve the problem with the hot water. We had thought that the complimentary glasses of wine went...

We stayed for several days with the Alpine Lodge, the rooms were comfortable and warm and the hospitality was incredible. We arrived after check in on our first day but they were accommodating and pleasant and came up with a solution. We have visited, and stayed here, before. We were two couples, staying in different types of rooms. Both were well presented and comfortable to stay in. Rooms were peaceful, with lovely outlooks. We enjoyed friendly, relaxed service in the restaurant/bar, and enjoyed the food. We will return.
