Stayed one night and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great vista to watch the weather systems come through. Easy access to the lakes without the bus loads of tourists pouring through. Host told us of a quiet local walk to a derelict farm which was lovely. Great for couples who like the quiet and can look after themselves. They also...

Stunning scenery in a tranquil setting! Short drive into St. Arnaud, grabbed a take away pizza and ate by the lake, beautiful! Our bedroom was small but cosy and the hosts Helen and Miles were delightful, happy to chat and share stories about the history of the place.

Very friendly hosts, but initial room was very small - not room to walk around bed. As they had a vacancy, they did move us to a similar but slightly room. It too opened directly off the dining room. No evening meal available unless you had booked and cafe and chip shop in St Arnaud both closed. The only other...

A short and easy drive from St Arnaud. Very short part is unsealed, but easy to navigate. The guesthouse is a very old style house, breathing an amazing warm and friendly character. A beautiful and large open wood fireplace. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The room is quite small; not much space for suitcases. The views from the...

Nice place to stay. Good internet signal. Beds comfy. Just good to have a lie down after long drive. It's easy to find. Other visitors were quiet so we caught up on some much needed rest. Good views from our window.

This historic inn has a wonderful fireplace and lounge which is just right after a day of travelling. The bathrooms are shared but very well equipped and comfortable. The bed was extremely cosy and I had a great night's sleep. Despite being surrounded by wilderness, they had fast, unlimited, no-nonsense wifi, which I found to be a rarity in New...

We arrived on a rainy day so it was lovely to sit by the fire. NZ 's smallest bar is pour your own which is unique and fun. The food was fabulous and we had the pleasure of Jennifer's company along with the little kitten, Cindy. Thanks for a lovely time.

Thanks for your review and great company. Sorry the weather didn't work for you but at least the open fire was a great trade off!
