Found this hotel by looking at reviews for the area as I was on a business trip in the Newtown area. It is set back off the main road and has a lovely approach driveway to the main part of the hotel. I stayed in the annex building to the side of the main hotel and had a nice room...

This hotel has a superb restaurant, attentive staff, excellent service. Good to see a maitre d on duty. Being a coeliac, THEY WERE EXCELLENT AT ENSURING A GLUTEN FREE DIET. Would stay there again, only 10 minutes to newtown, and just after the a470 turn off in caersws, a good place to stay or meet, as very little available on a470...

Wow! We could not have wished for a better day, our wedding was perfect! Everyone commented on how lovely the venue was, the food and the service. We really couldn't fault anything. We have the staff and especially Lee to thank, our day wouldn't have run as smoothly without you.

This time we stayed in the accommodation located in the grounds. It was nicely decorated although the furniture was a little dated but we had been warned of this and it was reflected in the price. Super views over the Severn. Very pastursl and better then previously in the actual hall. Downside was the bathroom. The shower was a challenge....

As the hotel is an old manor house surrounded by wonderful countryside it makes it a perfect place to have a wedding. I attended a...

Beautiful looking place with 'nothing-a-problem' staff. Stayed 3x nights. Superb breakfast (incl. in the price). One very good evening meal. Small bar and lounge area but out of season, this wasn't a problem (can't say about in season). We'd booked an Exec room which was large and well appointed (huge comfy bed, excellent power-shower). In some ways a shame it...

We stayed here for one night en route to Powis Castle and Garden. The drive up to the Hotel was really refreshing and the main building was just gorgeous. Staffs were really helpful and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea which was plentiful for one ... lucky hubby was willing to help and we still couldn't finish everything. Room...

Built in 1535, this place reeks of history. Small bar and public areas but a warm welcome from attentive staff and owners. Individual bedrooms, ours were large and comfortable. High quality food topped off a very enjoyable stay. A bit pricey but also a bit special.

I have stayed at the Maesmwr a few times. The service is good, it is a clean hotel, welcoming fire in the bar seating area. The food is good, the bar is well stocked. I had a room in the coach house, it was well appointed, comfortable, clean. Very pleased with everything.
