Room 6 was very dirty. Dust all over the picture frames and the shower was scalding hot or very cold. All the mattresses had a dip in them. You could feel the springs! had to sleep on top of the duvet for extra back support. I only booked here due to positive reviews, but after speaking to the owner the room we had was the one that needed updating!! No good telling us after we booked it. Breakfast was not all that either. Very salty bacon. Also they are NOT dog friendly as our dog was banned from the breakfast room, lounge and the front lawn! Unbelievable. Will not be returning to this place again.
Lakeland Guesthouse is NOT suitable for disabled customers. Ground floor rooms are accessible by negotiating 2 sets of steps access to the viewing area is up another 14 steps and to eat you have to go down 9 steps. No ramps no lift and carpark on a slope. Still CHARGED £80 because we were unable to stay.
Best guest house we've stayed in by far! Amazing breakfast, fantastic views! Very friendly and helpful staff! Tenby only a short drive away, loads of shops and a beach, plenty of places to eat. Can't wait to go back!
My wife and I travelled down to Pembroke in West Wales for a concert at Pembroke Castle and managed to book into the Lakeland Guesthouse in Pembroke Dock. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the full English breakfast (cooked by Barry) was first class - lots of toast, tea, as well. Malcolm, who greeted us, gave us a key to the room so we could come and go as we pleased and was really helpful in telling us about local attractions. The guesthouse is set on a hillside overlooking Pembroke Dock with stunning views and ample parking. Can't rate this place too highly - it was lovely.
Very warm reception and A most enjoyable and comfortable one night stay followed by an excellent breakfast. Upper floor lounge with views over the water which they are happy for you to use having vacated your room whilst awaiting the ferry time. Recommended the Shipwright pub for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. Probably worth telephoning to make a reservation as it is popular. We were lucky but others were turned away shortly afterwards. Definitely stay again the next time we travel to Ireland
