Our party of five, enjoyed an excellent carvery on 22nd June 2014. What made this special was that we had our pets with us,and for obvious reasons, thought to take a small Jack Russell, and a Lhasa apso into the facility would, on asking, receive a firm no.However the weather was very warm. and having nowhere to leave them, the manager sectioned off...

After hearing the hotel had a refurbishment recently, I expected much more. The room was freezing. The central heating didn't work so we had a small oil heater. This was plugged into an extention cable which was connected to the kettle and tv - this couldn't reach the floor as the wires were hanging from the wall mounted tv. The...

The shower was in the corner of the bedroom but it worked fine! and a little wooden screen was provided if you didnt want anyone to look. The bed was very comfortable. We had a few drinks in the bar in the evening and played...

Old-fashioned, friendly inn. It's on the A5, easy to find and convenient for getting to other places - surprised at how quiet it was considering the proximity to the main road. There is some parking at the front of the hotel although you may have to park up the side road in the evenings. Staff friendly, good breakfast (although 9...
