We only stayed for one night. Our room was lovely and cosy, with a comfy bed and everywhere was sparklingly clean. Fantastic decor throughout the whole house, we loved the colours. We had evening meal which we enjoyed very much. It was a good idea to have booked this beforehand as the hotel is quite remote. Breakfast was excellent too,... More

We only spent one night in the Balsporran Cottage and very pleasant it was. The couple that run this beautiful bed and breakfast were very welcoming. Ann is a very good cook and made a very nice haggis, neeps and tatties for our evening meal. The room was very comfortable and warm. In the morning when we were leaving Phil... More

Phil and Ann made me so welcome. This small B&B is a delight. Home cooked food and friendly knowledgeable owners made my stay memorable. This place is brilliantly situated for immediate access to several Munros and in sight of the A9 - this was particularly important as I arrived in the dark in a blizzard, their lights were very welcome.

Had a night here this week and Phil and Ann made me very welcome and had made a huge effort to dig the snow off the track to let me in and out. The dinner was home cooked with Ann making my delicious venison pie from scratch. A comfortable room with a fire for guest makes it home-from-home on a... More

Our arrival at Balsporran Cottage was eagerly awaited! We had seen the photos and the scenery did certainly impress. Turming off the A9 onto the track that leads to the B&B took us into a very tranquil and peaceful setting. We were met with a smile from Ann and Phil who were great hosts. Everything about the cottage was wonderful... More

I stayed here with my Brother in Law on our way down to Lands End by Bike. This was our 3rd stop & a welcome sight in the distance after a tough day. we arrived a bit late but didn't get the friendliest of welcomes! To be honest, I don't even know the names of these two. The house itself... More

Half way between Perth and Inverness, the B&B is a welcome attraction for cyclists. Three cottages made into one that offers excellent accommodation in the farm house style. They cook your tea for you at night when ordered a few hours before and there is a fair range of choice. It is in addition to the stay but worth it... More

I loved this place. As a solo walker, after 21miles it was great to get a warm, sympathetic welcome and to be left in peace in a wonderful warm room to rest my weary feet. The fluffy bathrobe was an unexpected delight. The breakfast was fantastic and the packed lunch everything it should be, particularly the homemade flapjack.
