Closest big supermarket is Asda about 2 miles south at CH62 3QP. Our sightseeing was on the August bank holiday weekend Saturday and started in the 'model' village of Port Sunlight. We went to the Lady Lever art gallery which was excellent but sadly didn't have time for the Port Sunlight museum as well. We then drove through the Mersey tunnel into Liverpool and went to Lark Lane for lunch and found plenty of free roadside parking by Sefton Park. We then drove to the city centre late afternoon and looked at the cathedrals but they charge for roadside parking there...not too exorbitant but time was restricted to a couple of hours, I think.
