Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food in a great setting with golf on the doorstep. Set on Lough Corib but just a short drive into central Galway. A great venue for a Wedding or a weekend getaway.

Very nice and fancy hotel with an old hardwood theme feel inside and a cool castle exterior. Beautiful grounds and castle, with amazing breakfast. There is a cool bar & dinning area inside also. It is about a 10-15 drive into Galway which was also a cool little city to explore. I only wish I had stayed longer here.

Our 'high performance' car decided to lock its fuel cap and resist all attempts to open it whilst we were in the wilds of Connemara, so we limped on to Galway and stopped at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel asking for an emergency room and advice. Louise grasped the situation immediately and sorted us a wonderful room, reassurance that a mechanic...

Firstly I would like to say we did enjoy our stay however the accommodation really lets the hotel down. Our bathroom had paint peeling off the roof and was tiny for a 5* .my husband had to bend his head to wet his hair as the shower head was low!!! Also for a 5 * star I would expect a...

I have been meaning to write this review for several months. My family and I traveled to Ireland last October. We stayed in some great places but the Glenl Abbey is my favorite. After seeing the Cliffs of Moher, and lunch in Doolin, we were tired when we got to Galway. When we arrived at the hotel we were received...

Dear KieranPatrick, What a great combination, Guinness, Salmon and Brown Bread - it definitely whetted my appetite! We are fortunate to be so close to the Cliffs of Moher and it is very popular as a day trip from the hotel here. Loved your review and the great feedback. Wishing you all the best. Stayed at Glenlo Abbey for three nights in August of 2015, and thought it was terrific. The classic room we stayed in was very big and comfortable, with a view of the golf course outside our window. We ate breakfasts in a beautiful dining room, also overlooking the golf course and other grounds. Food was great. Service at the front...

I was there as part of a group, and the staff did a wonderful job accommodating our meals (for 45). I also did a presentation in a meeting room, and the technology (digital projector) worked beautifully...staff were helpful with that. The room was splendid: large, very nice bathroom with bidet, lovely view. My only regret is that we didn't have...
