Had high hopes for this village location hotel. Booked a family room and was advised that a double room was all that was available and it would be extra for a bed for our daughter. However, after a discussion, this fee was 'waived' .. even though we booked for 3. The room was not what was booked, but appeared ok...

One night at this olde world inn. Very busy and loud on a Friday evening/night. Nice rooms with good beds. The restaurant serves English food of a good quality. The service is allright. Typical pub restaurant, no table cloth, paper napkin etc... Good breakfast cooked on order.

Dinner was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Sadly the breakfast staff were not so good. We had to ask to order, ask for toast and seemed to be left to ourselves while...

Very early 17th century inn overlooking the village square with the advantage of a large private car park. Nicely appointed throughout, keeping in period. The main bar is popular with friendly locals and tourists. There is a separate restaurant and the staff are cheerful and efficient. We stayed overnight for a local wedding and had an en-suite room in the...
