We wanted to revisit the wonderful city of Bath and found that this small hotel/ pub is only 5 miles from Bath and has a bus stop right outside. It saves all the hassle of parking in Bath. It is also ideal for visits by car to historic sites such as Lacock Abbey, Cirencester, Malmesbury Abbey, Bradford on Avon, Castle...

Having driven over 100 miles and experienced shopping in a very busy Bath we were looking forward to our stay at the Northey Arms, especially having read the reviews. We were shown to room 3 which in one word was very small and disgusting. There is no privacy, toilet is in a very small cubicle and the shower is directly...

Not a bad lunch, nicely cooked and very well presented. Better than average pub food to be fair but the service all round was very, very slow. Nice looking pub, nice style to the decor. Huge car park and nice looking gardens. Would return if in the area for sure but hope for quicker service

We went to the Northey for dinner while on holiday in Wiltshire recently. The staff were friendly, the menu was varied and interesting but not overlong. Service was efficient and the food delicious. What more could you ask for!

My husband and I stayed at The Northey for the Easter weekend and it was fine as a base from which we could explore the countryside. Unsurprisingly, it was very busy for the long weekend, and there seemed to be a couple of issues occurring, e.g. the shower heads in the rooms seemed to all be needing replacing at the...

Saturday just after mid-day. Went to the bar ordered drinks and sat down for lunch. Wife and I enjoyed our meals but if you prefer to eat off a plate make your preference known when ordering. A Ploughman's Lunch won't taste as good off a cracked breadboard in my opinion. My wife's toasted sandwich came to the table on a...

Recently stayed at the Northey for a Sunday evening and had dinner. Staff are so helpful and friendly. When we checked in the heating in our room was not working and it was very chilly, staff did their best to sort it as it was a really lovely room but they couldn't get it working so that moved me to...

This was an absolute gem of a place. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We didn't have any cash to get the bus into bath so a member of staff lent us money to get into town. We returned the cash the next day with much gratitude. The room was quite warm in the evening and the staff were...

This is a lovely pub with good ambience. We went for an evening meal and all the food was lovely with good choices on the menu and big portions. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was reasonably priced.

The former Box Station Hotel owes its architecture to Brunel. Head Chef Chris Alderson has created a classic menu using seasonal produce. Those staying the night will be royally spoilt as slick bedrooms sport pieces of one-off furniture and sculpture - and beds super comfortable with dazzling white linen and thick mattresses.
