Read a few bad reports so wasn't too sure but we had a wonderful weekend! room was really big with triple aspect windows, it was a bit cold as we had to switch off the blow heating to get to sleep-maybe 3 windows didn't help! breakfast lovely and staff very attentive. Had the best complimentary tea tray I've ever had...

The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the original building is attractive. The rooms were comfortable but in need of updating. The food was satisfactory although at breakfast time it was less than piping hot. Service was the major disappointment. With a few honourable exceptions, especially in the friendly domestic staff, some of the staff were sullen and unhelpful...

Went for Easter Sunday lunch. Had a very pleasant 3 course meal - set price on a Sunday. Five good choices for starter and main, 3 plus the option of ice cream or sorbet for the dessert. Food tasty, nicely cooked and well presented. The staff were all friendly. Overall, a very enjoyable outing.

The website portrays a well kept destination hotel with extensive grounds, spa facilities and award winning dining... the reality is somewhat below par. The rooms, communal areas, spar and pool area are all tired. The Lodge restaurant (pitched as award winning fine dining) serves, what is at best, average conference food without the ambience or service of even the lowest...

My partner and I opted for the Sunday Slumber spa break offered on the Ardencote website, as we wanted to relax and get away for our 6 year anniversary. We booked our break easily over the phone, and I was able to add dinner reservations a few days after we booked our break. Our spa times were emailed through a...

Visited on the Savour the weekend package which included a night stay, a three course meal and a treatment. The hotel and the grounds are brilliant. They gym has some really modern and hi-tec equipment and it was a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Booked this hotel through Secret Escapes last minute. Booked a B&B with dinner package. Room was spacious and well equipped, air con was good and bed was comfortable. Pool both inside and out was maintained well, although there was work being carried out outside, this failed to disrupt our enjoyment of the outdoor pool. Dinner the first night was exceptional,...

Arrived at the Hotel, greeted by a smile from the friendly staff. had a wonderful 3 course lunch, shown to our superior room. The room overlooked the lake. We had a complimentary bottle of prosecco on ice and home made macaroons and shortbread. After a wonderful walk around the grounds and lake we made our way to the Brasserie and...
