We booked for our first wedding anniversary. We knew it would be something but we had idea how fabulous it actually would be. We were made to feel so special and taken care of. Couldn’t fault it. The arrival, the house itself, the grounds, our room, the staff in every corner of the estate, dinner was exceptional, your sommelier, everything was perfect.

From arrival to departure this stay was without doubt the best trip ever. The reception, the champagne on arrival, our unexpected upgrade to the most fabulous suite. Dinner was sublime every course incredible and then actually meeting Raymond Blanc himself just made it perfect.

If you’ve been you’ll know why it’s so good … what a team and what a setting. The produce is the star at meal time and the food was sublime. The house and gardens are stunning. A 5 star experience all round and truly memorable.

We stayed at the Manoir for our 3rd visit - the last around 8 years ago. Nothing has changed!! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The bed is so comfy and the pillows perfect. The staff were welcoming and as good as it gets. The FOOD - there are not enough words to describe- totally incredible, amazing and I cannot wait to visit again.

From the moment we arrived to our departure, everything was pure luxury! Service, food, cookery school were all outstanding, worth every penny. My husbands 40th was made special by such attention to detail and being truly spoiled!

For the price the dining experience was disappointing, although tasty they were VERY small portions and lukewarm. The service in the restaurant was a little slow and not as attentive as in previous years.

We were celebrating 20 years together and couldn't think of a better place to choose. We were treated like royalty from the minute we stopped the car to the minute we got back in. The head porter took everything from our car and put it into our suite and did the same when we were leaving - we didn't have to lift a finger. Even better we were upgraded to a garden suite - this not as we thought a suite overlooking the garden - it had it's own garden! We have been very lucky to have stayed in some beautiful hotels and eaten at some wonderful restaurants but Le Manoir surpassed everything. The quality of produce, the expert cookery, the beautifully furnished rooms, the sublime garden - I could go on and on. However, it was the service that took our breath away. The staff were professional and helpful but very discreet. Special mention must be made of Holly who greeted with a choice of champagnes on arrival and who showed us around the hotel, Laura who was our waitress at dinner, Max whose knowledge of wine was outstanding and Jose who gave us a tour of the garden the next day. We haven't stopped talking about our stay and would love to return.…

Almost goes without saying that the food was exquisite - a couple of the courses at dinner will go on my ‘best of all time’ list. What was less expected was how wonderful the staff were - expertly treading a line between providing a high-end, ‘destination’ experience and being friendly, personable, responsive and engaged.

What a treat. Can’t fault anything from gorgeous setting, great service, wonderful food. We were given every attention, but felt very comfortable, and feel nothing was too much trouble. Although 5* it was not at all pretentious. A very special experience which we would highly recommend.
