We were lucky to have a very nice lady ( Yvonne ) as a host and there was a nice welcome-package at the cottage with some wine, bread, butter, milk , ....... Very quiet place near the seeside; local shop at short distance and privat parking. All you need to discover a wonderfull island. Don't mis a visit to Lihou-Island...

What a lovely cottage, thank you Yvonne for the hamper, and a lovely welcome especially after such a terrible ferry ride. We had everything we needed and every comfort possible, it was lovely to just relax and enjoy, you had thought of everything, and lovely to watch the cows over the road.

A truly fabulous stay at Briquet Cottages this Easter - it was perfect for my husband and our 2 year old daughter. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped with all we might need. Yvonne was absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more helpful before and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and she even left a...

We first went to Les Briquets (No.10) about two years ago. We had a very good time and were impressed by the accommodation and the standard of the furniture and fittings, especially the kitchen. We have just returned from another week at Les Briquets, (No. 11 this time) and were even more impressed. We think that Yvonne and Fred, the...

Having stayed that these cottages a number of times since 1999 under previous ownership, and having given up due to the low level of amenities, we decided to try once more, as the location is fantastic and hard to beat even in Guernsey. The cottage we occupied had been completely refurbished and it was hard to find anything that was...

Just returned (two adults and two children aged 13 and 11) from a great 2 weeks staying at number 1 Briquet Cottages. We`ve self catered on Guernsey many times (and in various places in rest of UK) and this was one of the best we`ve stayed in. Completely refurbished to a very high standard.Great location, in a quiet `Ruette Tranquille`...

Misleading advert which I believe has now been changed. Stayed in a 3 star cottage and as advertised expected an 'extensively re-furbished cottage only to find 1970's style kitchen and bathroom.- plus bathroom taps all rusted, see photo, no dishwasher, no wifi, all of which were advertised as being in all cottages. The only soft seating was a very dirty leather...

This review posted on Xmas Eve refers to a visit beginning 1st Oct 12. The 2 ladies involved wanted to bring a Springer Spaniel with them. We could only accommodate a dog in our only unrenovated 3star unit. We do not normally allow dogs on our property as other guests may have allergies. The cottage No. 1 has now been...

I stayed in a 4 star cottage and was delighted. It was really a spacious bungalow with modern furnishings and a well-fitted up-to-date kitchen and refubished bathroom. Completely controllable central heating and loads of hot water. I have stayed elsewhere in this locality and it was not at all as good as this! There was milk and cake waiting in...
