Not the best experience unfortunately. When we arrived we were ignored by the front of house staff and had to go to the reception to get our table. My wife is vegetarian and I had made them aware but the very happy (sarcasm if you missed it) slammed a bowl of cockles down in front of her nearly making her...

My husband took me for my birthday meal (we hadn't been before). Totally relaxing evening. From arrival, to sitting with drinks and canapés in the lounge and then the sumptuous food itself. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Staff were all attentive and fantastic at their job. My meal was the vegetarian option and I have to say it was gorgeous. My...

Went for lunch with my mother in law and it was absolutely gorgeous. The lunch menu is really reasonable and the food is outstanding. I had the risotto for main which was probably the best risotto I've ever eaten and I'll definitely be returning for this dish alone. My MIL had the beef, it was a great cut and she...

Went there for dinner on our wedding anniversary, wasn't at all disappointed. Only people eating (where are you locals?) Nothing was too much trouble, very relaxed atmosphere, informal and friendly. Food excellent, pleased with the varied (in terms of both quality and price)wine list. Fine dining, clearly very capable and experienced chef.

We last came here in summer 2009 with our little 11 year old who was just about to start senior school. This time we came back to visit for our daughter's 19th birthday whilst she is at Swansea Uni. The stay was a delight, the same room as before which is number 6, comfortable bed, fresh Welsh cakes, lovely bath...

Excellent location, and very quiet. The modern decor in the lounge was imaginative and seating comfortable. Staff team were friendly and helpful. Menu did not change during our stay, and service in the dining room was slow and clumsy. Examples, invited to table ten minutes before service began, not told in advance of items no longer available on the menu....

Went to the new style fairyhill, since it's been taken over. It lacks the character it had before the refurbishment. The new style furnishings were an acquired taste. Almost as if the interior designer was trying too hard. The food is still good. I had scallops followed by steak au poivre. The waiter was a shambles. Didn't come to check...

Stayed the night in the recently refurbished Fairyhill, it was very comfortable, the room was nice, but too expensive for what it was. Before the actual review, there is something I have never seen before, in the Ladies and Gents rooms, the only way to dry to hands are shared, multi use hand towels. Surely this can not be allowed ?...

Visited Fairyhill Hotel today for Afternoon Tea. What a great hotel. Thoroughly deserving of it's 5 star rating. We were served in the lounge which is a fabulous, relaxing, comfortable room. We had the traditional afternoon tea which included sandwiches, cakes, tartlets, welsh cakes, scones with jam and cream and endless pots of tea were served. Martin made us feel...

Superb service, amazing food. So very chilled :-) Hotel has stunning gardens and is in a beautiful area close to Rhosilli bay with wonderful walks nearby. Menu is interesting and delicious; great choice of wines.
