We stayed there during our trip to Fort William. A very cozy place - nice room with a lake view (which was breathtaking as we had a lovely weather), close proximity to Fort William, and a good base camp for hiking in the mountains. Lovely meals - very tasty and served by very nice staff. It might not be perfect... More

We stayed here a long time ago when it was a splendid hotel , noted for comfort and fine dining. Today it is just the reverse. On arrival, we found a notice informing us that Reception only operated limited hours and we were 30 mins early for the next roster. First duty of any accommodation agent is surely to welcome... Had been booked into this hotel when I showed up was greeted in reception by a lad who said hardly anything then left us sitting for an hour. He left us in the reception which was stinking of damp and really dated and scruffy decor. When I was shown to my room it was so dated and was stinking of... More

I booked a loch view room at this hotel for £95.00, Turned up at the hotel outside was shabby and in need of a lick of paint, reception not very welcoming. Showed to room ,this was dirty dark and unacceptable for the price. We had been traveling all over Scotland and stayed at some lovely hotels . I travel all... More

on arrival we were greeted at reception and without any messing ,we were taken to our first floor room , No11 .the manager could have been telling me anything ,as I was not listening just mesmerised by the astonishing views my room afforded me across loch Leven . after he left I was surprised by the size of the room... This establishment appears to being run on a shoestring. Room needed a good clean and the gardens want attention. Staff worked hard but there were not enough of them for the number of guests. Dinner, when it arrived was only warm each night, not hot. Portions on the small size and we do not have big appetites. It's a lovely... More

The only great thing about the Lodge On The Loch is the spactular views from the hotel. Other than that it is difficult to find anything positive to say about this place. Even the food here was ordinary but the service was friendly.

The Hungarian men who run this hotel work very hard. They check you in, take care of any room issues, serve food, probably cook. The hotel is dated. That said, I felt we had a decent room which was clean and comfortable over all. The bathroom was large but needs updating. A couple upstairs had (reportedly) given their child a... More

I have been here on numerous occasions and always enjoy it. The food is well above average and the view is amazing. On this visit l used an Itison voucher given to me by a friend and it was outstanding value. Ours was a corner view room and had a private sauna, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The large... I booked at short notice and was lucky to get a room at the front of the hotel with the most amazing views in all directions! Our deluxe double room was bright, roomy and beautifully furnished, the bathroom was huge and luxurious. We enjoyed a meal in the hotel restaurant the evening we arrived and breakfast was excellent. All the... More
