This has been and a BEAUTIFUL OLD HOTEL in its day. However it is run down and needs a lot of interior and exterior work to be a "presentable, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The room I occupied had little room at end of single bed to walk. The "grate and concrete" coming out of the tiles in bath/shower...

By far the worst hotel I've ever been in! And I've stayed in some rotters! The first thing that hits you is the smell! The acrid stench of stale beer eminating from the bar downstairs is horiffic. The rooms couldn'tbe more frightening if they appeared in The Shining. Don't expect a working shower, a clean bathroom or even a toilet...

Staff lovely. The whole building is damp and full of mould. They get away with such poor standards because they're the only hotel in Rammy. There are much better hotels within a few miles. The place is a public health hazard.

Absolutely horrid place to have a drink. We came to Ramsbottom for the 1st time and decided to pop in for a quick refreshment. The pub had a distinct smell of wee. Very pricey drinks. The tables outside are a health risk (nails) sticking up. The toilets were littered with flys. Please avoid this place.

Stayed at this hotel for one night as I attended a wedding in Ramsbottom. The hotel is very old fashioned and if that's what they are going for then that is fine. However, the room itself was quite dusty and really needed some TLC. The bed was rather uncomfortable and this would stop me staying again. It took us ten...

The Grant Arms is a bit dated, could do with a lick of paint and a general modernisation. But the welcome was great, the breakfast superb and the bedroom clean and comfortable. Shower could do with an update, bit adequate enough. The public bar wasn't the best. Only had bottled beer and a few loud characters in. Street parking free...

Went here for a drink yesterday. The entrance was filthy as were the glasses. Drinks were cheap although I'm not surprised really they must have to shoe horn customers in. Went to the gents to find it disgusting. It was that bad (see photos attached) I couldn't even pee. Went outside as it was a nice day to sit at...

Rammy is an okay place, plenty going on and getting a bit arty. However the Grants Arms has bypassed all the upgrades seen in the rest of Rammy. Its a Local Pub with an old fashioned set of rooms attached. We had a wet damp patch overhead to one side of the single beds, so if the droplets decided to...

Having booked, and paid in full on arrival, a colleague questioned my sanity describing the Grants Arms as "a dump". How right he was. The first night - room not serviced. The bar seems popular with noisy, drunk locals and is not a pleasant environment. The staff are invisible (as they tend the bar). The bed linen does not fit...

Stayed in room 5 - it stunk of damp, there was mould up the walls, loose tiles in the bathroom and a filthy shower head and bath. All in all, really unpleasant. The place needs so much work to bring it up to standard it's like they've just given up. It's a shame as its in a fantastic location.
