We stayed for 2 nights and were given a family room with sea view. The room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed including a small balcony. The people were friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely although service could be a little slow at times. The view was lovely and it was very handy for...

First visit to this hotel, built in the 1930's. Did not know what to expect, having read some of the reviews previous visitor's had posted. Have to admit, initially I was not too impressed with the staff in the restaurant on the first evening, in that they appeared to be disorganised. However, the meal was very good and from then...

Initial visit to sample the food and arrange a funeral wake, the manager taking our details was terrible, concerned only with his paperwork, minimal customer service and completely unsympathetic to our reason for being there, unfortunately, we had to proceed with the arrangements due to the short timescale. Fortunately, on the day of the funeral, the staff were excellent, very...

It is very rare that I walk out of a restaurant without eating but I did on this occasion. The staff were completely inexperienced and uninterested in serving customers. The senior waiter, I could not call him a Maitre D' spent his time pouring over the till uintil I eventually went up to him to ask for someone to take...

The Customer service was really good and our room with a four poster bed overlooking the sea was excellent. Our daughters room was a bit dull and pokey but she didn't seem to mind too much. The staff were friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant was very comfortable. However the evening meal was really...

I stayed overnight with a friend, we had a very nice room. There's a big restaurant and bar. The only problem is the parking, its a pay and display car park, as a hotel guest, you are exempt, On arrival I confirmed this with the Reception desk. Today I got a Parking fine for £100, and now have got the...

We booked an overnight stay at the White Horse, Rottingdean as we were visiting friends near by. When we first saw the hotel we were rather concerned as it looked tired and dated. However, inside was fine. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, including a sea view! Staff were helpful and friendly too. We ate in the...

Lovely small hotel with friendly staff, however the day we were there we felt the staff were very busy, perhaps not enough staff to cope with the amount of people. Our room faced the street which was rather noisy but not too bad. I would recommend the rooms facing the ocean however for a little extra. They also had a...

Booked through central reservations and was asked if I would like to pay extra for a sea view with balcony? This being the last of three hotels on our trip, I thought why not. On arrival we were given a key to a ground floor room, which I thought strange for a sea view with balcony. It was a lovely...
