Good alternative to the myriad or chain hotels in the area. We stopped overnight en-route to France and had a very enjoyable evening. There are two bar area’s one a typical locals bar and the other more for residents and diners with comfortable seating. The food was good simple pub fare but very well done, we had to leave too...

We have stayed here for 2 nights during our trip through Kent/Sussex. We had 3 hotels on the way and this hotel was the best one! Good bed and nice & easy to handle shower! Warm breakfast was made to order on request and (extra toast), jam, honey, yoghurts and cereals are available on the counter.

Stayed at the Roebuck Inn for one night, with my husband and teenage daughter, en route to the channel tunnel (an easy thirty minute drive away). We were immediately made to feel very welcome, and shown to our rooms which were superb, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were told the bar may be busy in the evening, due to it...

I had a Chicken and Bacon salad today! It was amazing, the chicken was 100% real breast cooked to perfection as was the bacon. Lovely fresh salad. And amazing service. Highly recommend visiting here for food.

Whilst I have never stayed overnight I have used the bar and restaurant several times. They have real ale and cider on draught, the food is good, and the atmosphere quite 'villagey' Worth staying in for ramblers of the North Downs Area of Natural Beauty or s astop-over on the way to Dover.

Food in pub ok. Room in hotel was dirty old hairs all around bath when I arrived and not properly hoovered. The rooms are noisey, pub quiz on Thursday night so very loud, beds very squeaky and walls to other rooms very thin so you can hear there phone calls! Tv reception rubbishy and breakfast slow.

I have eaten at this pub several times, always of a good standard, The pub can get crowded, so may be best to avoid between 12-2. Good value meals and drinks. I would usually pick the meal of the day, mid week every day different, steak Tuesday, curry Thursday.
