Went in to eat and the service was terrible. There was a young lad behind the bar called 'Corby' i think his name was. He was rude, very slow, he mumbled and he was smoking a E-cigarette behind the bar while he was supposed to be working, disgusting and not professional. We will think twice about going here again until... More

Sadly a pub that could be amazing is getting worse! There is just no atmosphere, the lady owner is miserable. She walked by us waiting for a pint and rudely said the other person will serve us. We used to eat and drink regularly in the pub but have now stopped eating there and soon I fear we will stop... More

I stopped here while walking North Downs Way. Some recent reviews were offputting, so I was expecting the worse but actually found it a really good place to stay. My room (room 6) could indeed do with a new carpet because of staining, presumably caused by previous guests, but it was as clean as it could otherwise be, as was... More

Arrived at the roebuck around 4.30. The lady behind bar was really polite and jolly . She took us straight to our room . The room was lovely . Comfy bed plenty of tea & coffee . Towels was ok plenty of shower gels to use. Went down for some food . Only had sandwiches which was very nice. The... More

Stayed here while visiting in the village. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had lunch and breakfast here, which were both good. They had a vegetarian choice for full breakfast, which is always a good thing. I would stay here again

Lovely, friendly staff but the accommodation very disappointing. The room was supposedly deluxe. This it certainly was not! The carpet was badly stained as was the side of one of the divan bed bases. Both beds were missing valances. The bed looked like it had been made by someone wearing a blindfold and my duvet cover was inside out. One... More

Good hotel but my problem was I had pie of the day and I asked for gravy, you cannot eat pie without gravy. Guess what I was charged 75 p for the gravy, I was disgusted. The location for Leeds Castle was great, but if I am charged for gravy it would put me off staying there.

Was shown to our room and the first thing that hit me was how dirty the carpets were. Would not have wanted to take my shoes off! Then i noticed that all along the bed base was dirty with stains. The thing that topped it all was the hair in plug hole in bath! Totally disgusting!! The cleaner needs to... More

Good alternative to the myriad or chain hotels in the area. We stopped overnight en-route to France and had a very enjoyable evening. There are two bar area’s one a typical locals bar and the other more for residents and diners with comfortable seating. The food was good simple pub fare but very well done, we had to leave too... We have stayed here for 2 nights during our trip through Kent/Sussex. We had 3 hotels on the way and this hotel was the best one! Good bed and nice & easy to handle shower! Warm breakfast was made to order on request and (extra toast), jam, honey, yoghurts and cereals are available on the counter.
