We have family in Hythe and so are regular visitors to the area. Sometimes we stay overnight and up until now have always used the budget hotels on Eureka Park in Ashford. Whilst these have been perfectly acceptable we just fancied trying something different. We are so pleased we did. Warm, cosy, quiet, comfortable. Two good nights sleep and two... More

The New Flying Horse is an absolute gem, stayed for one night, was in the area for work, and could not fault any aspect of my stay. Beautiful room and bathroom, spotlessly clean, some really lovely quirky little features (low beams, but was forewarned at check in!) and all for a fantastic price. Meal in the restaurant was superb, and... More

This was our 2nd visit to the pub and we were allocated Room 5. Our newly refurbished room was spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Upon entering one had to be careful not to bump your head on one of the building's low beams - but we had been warned about that in advance! Downstairs in the Bar there was... More

Same old decor, same old boring beer selection, no specials board for food. Menu has now taken a U turn when it comes to decent meal, the menu has now joined the boring beer section to complete a hopeless lunch at a steep price. Come on Shepherd Neame get it together and provide a decent menu at a realistic price.

Almost perfect, stayed 3 nights in room no1. Plenty of room with very good bathroom. Ample parking at rear of inn, a 10 minute walk will see you to the station and only a couple to the High street. The young hotel staff are very friendly and professional, rooms cleaned to perfection. Breakfast has a good variety to choose from.... More

Spent two nights with bed and breakfast. We stopped in the stable block where the room was not huge but very clean, comfortable and quiet just like we asked. The bathroom was of a very good standard, both bathroom and bedroom had more than ample heating, in fact we turned the heating down as it was to warm. Couldn't fault... More

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for a night on a Saturday. All staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. After a late night, a few drinks and dinner, we went back to our room situated in the out building in the car park. The room was very clean and modern and the bed was really comfortable.... More

We booked in for one night, into the rooms above the pub, they look like they have recently been refurbished, clean tidy and modern, perfect for a night or two stay, you are above a pub so expect a little noise but not enough to course any real concern. We also had dinner in the restaurant, good modern traditional pub... More

Lovely second stay over Christmas. As usual the staff were lovely and the food was great. The rooms in the stable blocks are nice. Bit noisy on Christmas Eve due to the smokers outside the bar but otherwise good stay. Eggs Benedict really nice. Will go again.

Stayed one night before a shopping trip to Ashford. Lovely little village setting. We were fortunate the night was that of the Christmas fair. Our room was in the stable block. It has been refurbished to a very high standard. The room was small but more than adequate, lovely well fitted bathroom and a most comfortable bed. There were little touches... More
