Our sixth visit to The Inn at Hawnby and, although the others have been good, this was the best yet. A fantastic dinner and good choice of dishes for breakfast. Good beer and a fine selection of wine. Rooms are comfortable and warm. The varied wildlife of the North Yorks moors is on the doorstep too!

Oh my! We've just got home from an all too brief stay at The Inn at Hawnby. Our room was lovely, the views absolutely stunning but the real winner was dinner! We ate like kings both evenings we were there and the portion sizes were perfect. I really can't recommend a stay there highly enough.

This was our 4th visit to this little corner of Yorkshire and we love it. Hawnby is so off the beaten track that it feels you are in a different age, but that all adds to it's charm. The hotel staff are so friendly (Amy is an absolute star) and the food is to die for. Our room (York) was...

Stayed here one night. Paid £99 B&B and paid evening meal over and above. The evening meal was very good but not enough of it. Very paltry, haute cuisine and certainly not hearty Yorkshire helpings. Husband ordered sweet and waited 40 mins despite us asking after half an hour about it. and being told that it was in the oven...

We booked one night in this pub as, with the races and marathon on in York, any remaining rooms there were very expensive. Its an hour north of York, and in a wonderful, if secluded location. Having seen a few reviews which were somewhat critical of the bathrooms, we were very pleasantly surprised. We did not eat, as we had...

Booked here as a last minute short break. Driving through the village you find this lovely old hotel/pub, sun shining and tables outside. Pre communication from Dave was everything you would hope for.Yes the Inn is old but very clean, and welcoming all adding to the charm. Right on the edge of the moors for walking and close to many...

We very much enjoyed our recent return stay at the Inn at Hawnby, after a gap of 3 years. Dave, the owner, is a great host and nothing is too much trouble. The dogs were welcome in the bar (even behind the bar on one occasion!) but understandably not in the dining room! The food was always great but Dave...

We have been staying at the Inn at Hawnby off and on for seven years (because we love it)... and this time was the best. The food was even better than the yummy breakfasts and dinners we have come to expect here - and our packed lunch included amazing, fresh, still-warm home-made scotch eggs! Relaxed atmosphere, about two minutes from...

Working in Hawnby found this great little pub lovely food and good pint. Dinnertime was special lots of ramblers and tourists. Beautiful sitting in the beer garden enjoying hard eared pint for liquid lunch.

staying at The Inn at Hawnby was like going back in time but in a good way. We stayed in the converted stable block, the room was excellent. Breakfast and our evening meal were first class, my husband has coeliac disease and all the staff are very knowledgeable. would defininitley recommend a stay here.
