I stayed here with my family for one night. We stayed in room one right at the top which for a family room is quite high to carry all the bags . The road was noisy and only had 2 pillows each not enough . Staff nice and friendly and breakfast was nice but wouldn't stay again if in the...

A 50th Birthday Party was made all the better for the great location, great space and although ridiculously busy very good service. The area we were in had lots of space for the DJ, a dance area plus bar space. There were 2 other rooms where the food and cake were plus a seating area. The staff were great although...

This was a most unexpected surprise. We booked one night because it was the cheapest local option and I was paying. Whilst our room wasn't huge, it was comfortable, but breakfast was excellent. The choice and quality was what we would expect from somewhere four times the price. It is owned by a family who renovated and improved it a...

Stopped for a quick lunch. Great welcome and comfortable atmosphere. Excellent menu. We only wanted a quick snack but the choice was excellent and all cooked and presented to a really good standard. Thankyou.

Good location in Ilchester, easy to find & directions given when booking. Our room was clean & welcoming, it had a sloping floor which was a little disconcerting but the building was old so it was understandable. The staff were all friendly, cheerful & helpful though no staff on site overnight. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local produce. Would happily...

Decent value for money in a convenient location for getting out and about in Somerset. Room was small but perfectly acceptable. No reception you need to go to the bar on arrival. Breakfast very tasty local food.

The hotel is situated really conveniently in the middle of the village; we picked it so that the driver could relax and have a lovely meal and drink at the end of each of 2 days driving. We booked one room for an elderly relative and another for us as a couple. They were very 'compact' rooms but sufficient for...

I stayed here recently during a business trip. The room was really comfortable and was fully ensuite. I was at the front of the hotel and initially was concerned that there may be noise from the road and square below but there was none. I had dinner and breakfast in the hotel as well. Dinner was very efficient with several...

What a fantastic place. We were due to arrive late as just about every road was closed on our travels there before the start of our holiday the following day. We arrived around 4am and the lady (so sorry I don't know anyone's name) got up and let us in. What a gem! The room was one of the best...

Reasonably priced and very good quality local food. Property is evidently very old and is as much a place to eat as to drink. Service at the bar was a little chaotic but only because the young person serving found multitasking a challenge when the phone rang and she was already doing something. The car park behind the property was...
