My partner and I stayed overnight to be near to Newmarket the following day. On arrival staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room alougth not big was clean and there was a fan which we needed as the room was hot. There was no hairdryer but other than that we were happy. There wasn't much noise considering its a...

We arrived at the Hundon Plough for a meal last week, the service was just fantasic, very welcoming and friendly, The food portions were quite big, and the food was cooked to perfection, I did not have a starter, for a main I have a Steak and Ale Pie, which I can absolutely recommend. From ordering to the food being...

6 of us booked 3 rooms for Saturday night and couldn't have had a better experience. The rooms were very nice (with a great view from room 5). The staff were lovely and we had a great evening meal and excellent breakfast. The pub is in a beautiful area and we would definitely go again if we were visiting that...

Having arrived at the hotel, we were given the key to the room, knowing we couldnt ust it until after 1pm, which was fine. When we came back in the early evening, we went to a pleasant room, overlooking the beer garden, dead flies lined the window cill, the mirror light in the bathroom never worked, and the toilet was...

Hello Clive , I must say that I am very dissappointed that you did not enjoy your night away at the Plough and I will address the issues that you have raised with my team . The rooms here are very well maintained and comfortable , and the housekeeping team do a very good job, I am sorry that there...

I stayed here two nights on business and would recommend it. The room I had (#5) was clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal selection is very good offering traditional pub/inn food as well as more delicate options. There's also a "specials" board, and portions are more than adequate. Beer and wind selection is good. Their website...

First room we were offered you would have needed to be under 3ft tall to avoid banging your head on sloping ceiling when getting in or out of bed. Room we moved to was much better but had to be careful about the various steps and levels. Food was unremarkable pub grub. Breakfast was uninspiring the bacon was done to...

I would not recommend staying here to anyone. We had a table booked for 6 of us at 7:30 and waited over an hour between courses. When the 3 steaks arrived, they were very under cooked and not comes to the persons request. When we asked for the steaks to be cooked properly we were met with a very rude...

In response to your review of your 2 nights with us at the Plough, may I first of all say that after speaking to yourselves on the Saturday night during service and again on the Sunday and Monday mornings and offering our full apologies for the meal, I thought that the issue had been rectified to your satisfaction. With yourselves...

The Inn has a very good ambience , this feeling of wellbeing is carried on by the staff who are polite and considerate. I would recommend this Inn to anybody wanting to sample the English countryside at its best.

After attending a wedding reception last year at this delightfully quaint country inn, staying overnight and enjoying a fabulous breakfast, we decided to make the hour's trip and return on Easter Sunday afternoon to attend the Easter Weekend Beer Festival. We were so looking forward to it, but were left feeling pretty disgruntled to say the least. I'd checked the...

Hi Ginny61, we are really sorry that your experience with us over the beer festival , did not match the one you had when attending a wedding here, but they are two very different occasions as you will know seeing how very busy we were on Sunday. To get on to the issues raised, the beer fest menu is just...
