I'd booked to stay at The Plough over the Good Friday weekend and following a mix up over the dates, Michael, the General Manager, kindly did all he could to rectify the mistake. The Inn is set in beautiful, green surrounds and offered a much needed quiet relaxing stay, over the bank holiday weekend. Tom and all the staff at...

I stayed last week while working in Haverhill and was delighted to find a picturesque country inn with beautiful views. Bedrooms were spotless and everything you need for a one night stay, the food was a step up from your usual pub food, I'd definitely recommend the Blue burger, very nice and the chips were very fresh. All staff both...

Recently stayed at the Plough as a last minute booking on our road trip. What a find. A small friendly pub with great food (try the mushroom stroganoff) helpful friendly staff and great accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I left a notebook in the room and the staff managed to contact...

I stayed at the plough inn for work. I thoroughly enjoyed my peaceful stay. The staff are all very welcoming and obliging. Staying there on my own I expected to feel quite out of place, it was quite the opposite in fact! Someone is always happy to help and ready for a conversation with a smile. The food was fantastic,...

Met a business colleague who was staying at The Plough Inn, for breakfast and it was absolutely first class...enough said. My colleague had a comfortable and restful stay in a large en-suite room. Incidentally, the bar had some decent real ales on draught.

Been going here regular for 3 years to eat but the last two visits have not been so good, not sure why things have changed, but other pubs in the area have upped their game so its a shame the plough has let things slide. A lovely pub with lots of charm so will try again in the future but...

The breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked. The evening meal was very nice indeed. The service was excellent we will defiantly be going back. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Although it is located in the middle of nowhere it is very well situated for many local attractions. I can recommend a stay here.

I went for a meal on Thursday evening with my fiance after visiting family nearby after hewhat a lovely traditional country pub. The BBQ pork ribs were finger lickin' good and the homemade cheesecake with a brownie base was a novel idea (and delicious!). Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough to keep us happy, we were served by a friendly...

Felt in the need of a cosy light lunch on a wet and miserable day. Lovely glow from the fire and nice welcome from the staff. We had one sausage sandwich, one BLT sandwich and a grilled chicken baguette. All were good and well presented with crisps and side salad. Not cheap but reasonable value for the size and quality.

Stayed for four nights while visiting family in the area. Nice room but needed some TLC, curtain linings full of holes for example. Service very average and the food was acceptable but suffice to say we ate out mostly. This could be a terrific place but it needs to seriously address it attitude to attention to detail. It has such...
