Visited after walking in local area for a one night stay. Turned up about 5 o'clock with one young lady serving behind the bar she was pouring a pint and we were directly opposite her. No eye contact, no welcome a simple 'i'll be with you in a minute' was all that was needed. After a few minutes someone eventually...

Revisited The Old Hall Inn for a pub lunch after a couple of years. Delighted to see the standard has been maintained. Friendly service, wide range of well-cooked dishes and last but by no means least: superbly kept Tim Taylor's Ale. Added bonus is a fabulous ancient fire place complete with a great, bright furnace of a fire. Good atmosphere...

Slightly creaky floorboards from rooms above - but easily got off to sleep. Looked in on the bar on the evening of...

Had a very good weekend staying at this pub with adult family and dog. The food was excellent, the rooms were very clean, staff were friendly. Ideal location for visiting the Dales, some really nice walks in the area.

We visited this pub twice in the four days we stayed nearby. The food was very good and plenty of it. They have a gin and whiskey list which was comprehensive and fun to sample! Barman was very friendly and dog was made welcome. Prices were on the upper end of reasonable.
