We have been lucky enough to stay a couple of times before. Its a great place to just catch a breath and is in a great position for either Retail Therapy at York Outlet or visiting lovely towns like Hemsley. Tony and his team go out of their way to make you feel so welcome. We stay in the Cottage...

Another excellent stay at this delightful hotel, this time with a badly broken leg thanks to a miscalculation while skiing! Tony, Sally, Ann, Piotr, Josh, and all the staff were fabulous, as they always are, and made an extra special effort to look after me, and accommodate my lack of movement, and rather fixed and permanent position on one of...

Booked for 1 night and had special Valentine's Menu. The soup was out of this world. The Main course wonderfully cooked. and the desert was really special. Locally produced food. The accommodation was very good. There are open fires, and the sitting room very comfortable. Enjoyed a game of scrabble.

My husband received this 3 day break for his christmas present! Stayed in one of the cottages opposite in a deluxe room....lovely warm room....plenty of space. Super bed although very low but very very comfortable. Wonderful staff throughout the hotel. ...nothing too much trouble. Sunday lunch and breakfasts were all excellent. Had light meals in the Cricketers Bar each evening....

We spent three nights last week in this hotel situatedl in the lovely village of Hovingham. The weather was miserable, well it is February I suppose, but the open fires, one in the bar area, made for a very warm and cosy atmosphere. Various lounge areas, dining room, breakfast room all tastefully decorated and in keeping with the age of...

We've passed this establishment a few times and never had time to call. However, I think we will find it difficult to just drive by in future. We will definitely be making time to visit again. The food was exceptional, the service was fast, friendly yet professional. Amazing lunch, thank you Tony.

We spent two nights at The Worsley Arms in Hovingham as part of a holiday in Yorkshire. It is warm, cosy and welcoming. There were fires burning in the reception area and the bar, a great choice of gins and the food was fantastic! We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel with a very comfortable bed....

This was one of three small hotels my friend and I stayed at during our trip through Yorkshire. When we arrived, their was one man staffing the place, and he seemed like it was bother to help us - so not the best start. The hotel is in a fantastic old building, so you expect some old building quirks, but...

We stayed one night at the Wolsely Arms. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. If you are looking for a "smart" "modern" hotel, then the Wolsely Arms perhaps is not the place for you, but... if you are looking for a hotel which serves good food, has good service and is not ridiculously expensive then the...

Stayed here for three nights when visiting York. Hotel is on the main road through Hovingham. Room was warm and comfortable. The hotel had an old world charm. Comfortable lounges and log fires. Breakfast was good. We ate in the restaurant two nights of our stay. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. The wine list was good and...
