We arrived here after hiking from Trient and had a really lovely stopover for the night. The food was excellent and they really catered well for our special needs. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There is a common kitchen available for self cooking and also tent accommodation is available but we stayed in the four bed dorms and...

On TMB tour our itinerary lead us to think this was going to be a fantastic dinner, so we could not wait for our night at Bon Abri. Unfortunately it was our least favorite meal of the trip. Who knew? Would have liked to stay in charming Champex, but this location is very convenient for early start on trail. Room...

On my way to the south of Europe, I stayed here for one night with my kids and I loved it. The staff is very friendly and they do everything to make you feel at home. After a long day in the car, the dinner was exactly what we needed. Don't forget to go to the lake in the village....

We stayed here whilst walking the TMB. The rooms were small with bunks too close together. Floorboards creaking from upstairs kept me awake. The food was poor lettuce starter, mince and rice and bread then custard for dessert. Cheap quality. I realise that it is Switzerland but seemed to be very poor value for money. The only redeeming feature was...

We hadn't realised that this place is a 20 minute walk out of Champex-Lac. If we had, we'd have stayed longer by the lake. We were surprised to find that only 1 member of the staff spoke French, despite being in the french-speaking part of Switzerland. Not a problem if you speak english, but a bit of a surprise for...

The staff was very friendly and listened to us. The only things are (but I guess, you get what you pay for), is that the beds are all very very close together, no privacy. There's like 20 people in the same room. Also, the hostel is about 20 minutes away from downtown Champex, so it's not practical. Food was all...

We were there in the beginning of July 2016. the hotel is out of Champex, more than 20 min walking to the lake. they didn't supply WiFi even they promised that they have. they didn't have enough food both dinner and breakfast and in general their treatment was awful. For TMB hikers - you can get more for the same...

You cannot do the TMB without stopping at Gite Bon Abri. Surrounded by trees and only a 20 minute walk from Champex-Lac, the location could not get any better. Whether you are doing the TMB and need a warm bed and delicious food, or looking for a spot to unwind and relax by the lake- this is the spot! The...

We arrived at this place after a 23 km walk and we found it closed until 17 o'clock so we did have to wait for 2 hours before the hosts came. The rules are absurd they won't let you take your backpacks in the room just stuff from them. The toillets were dirty in the men bathroom. The food was...
