Eight of us stayed at the Alpina Champex last summer, before starting the second half of the Tour de Mont Blanc. After a flight from the U.K, and bus transfer from Geneva, we were excited to be in beautiful Champex, even though it was cold (6 degrees C) and a bit grey when we arrived. The Alpina - chosen from...

My husband and I stayed for one night while doing the Haute Route. The location was stunning and views were the best of any of our hotels/cabanes. Marlene was a fantastic host. The dinner was the best of our trip and breakfast was amazing. Her husband made us fresh scrambled eggs which were a treat!

A few things really stood out about our stay here along the TMB... 1. The hostess (Marlene) was as sweet and kind as if she were my own grandmother. She treated us as if our comfort was her greatest concern and she seemed genuinely interested in us. The world would glow if there were more people like her in it....

What a charming hotel. The deco is splendid yet cosy. We have the impression being in a chalet. The managing couple is warm and friendly. Actually the manager is also the cook : just amazing to taste haute cuisine in the mountains, that's what we would have found in a big city. We had a wonderful stay for a 20th...

We decided to take a rest day from the TMB in Champex and the Hotel Alpina was a great choice. It is about a five minute walk from the lake and has wonderful views of the mountains, the city of Orsieres below, and the hamlets of two valleys below. This small hotel has only six rooms and is run by...

This beautiful hotel is at the end of the road, just off the TMB trail with views of the mountains and town below. Charming, clean, and lovely. Big rooms and bathrooms. Marlene who runs it was the most wonderful lady we met on the whole hike. She was so sweet and funny! She made our visit fantastic in every way....
