My wife and I, along with our Special Friends had a most wonderful time in this jewel of a hotel. We were the only ones from the USA there; but we met several Norwegians, and all were most friendly, and spoke English. The Hotel is in the middle of the Jotunheimen National Park. Marco, lodge innkeeper and his wife are... More

We spent three wonderful nights in the Aspen Suite. It is a very large room with a wood burning stove. The bathroom has a fantastic wooden bath with a rest for your kindle and wine glass! The food is of a high quality but there is no choice so let the management know of any dietary requirements before you go... More

Our family loved our stay at Herangtunet Boutique Hotel. It was the best place we stayed and definitely the best meal we had while traveling in Norway. The hosts are wonderful and have really put a lot of thought and care into their wonderful home in the woods! We have two teenagers and the dinner could not have been better... More

Herangtunet is a jewel of a boutique hotel in the midst of the Norwegian wilderness. The place has meticously been renovated, and presents itself as a very authentic Norwegian concept - although the entire place has been renovated and is run by a Dutch couple (great people!). When you first come to Herangtunet, it appears as it comes right out... More

This really was an excellent place to stay in Norway and a real treat compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our trip. If I was to criticise Norway at all I would say their hotels and breakfasts definitely need work. Herangtunet is a fabulous boutique hotel - we stayed in the Aspen suite for 3 nights and... More

Lovely B&B in the heart of the Valdres province. The property was serene and smelled like hickory from the campfire, the suites were spacious and cozy, and the food was delicious. A great place to stay while traveling through the spectacular Jotunheimen national park.

I have stayed at Herangtunet on a number of occasions, and recommend it without hesitation to friends and contacts who are looking for a great place to stay. This boutique hotel has been incredibly well received by travelers, and deservedly so. The couple running it are inventive, dedicated and totally committed to enhancing your experience in Valdres. This place is absolutely gorgeous. We booked Islandic room which was very beautiful and the stay was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, the view from our balcony was gorgeous, we even had a little visitors - squirrels. The owner was very polite and helpful. Unfortunately we forgot to book a lovely dinner in the restaurant within this hotel,... More

This guesthouse is a small collection of wooden buildings at the base of a heavily wooded hill. The interior decoration of the rooms is eclectic, to say the least, although the central dining area is fairly neutral and very appealing. The food is the standout here. We had an all inclusive package (room, breakfast and dinner) and the dinners were... More

Hello and thanks for the review! Great that you had a lovely stay with us.
