We just love this place. A little piece of magic on the very banks of the Dordogne. We went back in October for a four-night stay, and took a couple of English friends with us too. The combination of great food, comfortable rooms, long walks and amazing food and drink in Le Chopin Gourmand Bistrot cannot be beaten. Philippe and...

This small hotel is in a quiet location alongside the river. There are no amenities such as shops or restaurants nearby. Our room overlooked the garden, small car park and the river. Warning bells began to ring when we found little notices around the room; "cushions are cushions, not pillows", "no food or drink allowed in the room", "if you...

Restaurant has great views of the river in a rural setting however the food was very strange. Too many odd flavours in any one dish and not appealing (see photo). 35€ set menu very limited and unhelpful staff.

I have just spent a relaxing, blissful week at the "Côté Rivage" hotel in Badefol sur Dordogne and it was the most fabulous experience. The hotel is situated by the Dordogne river in a beautiful peaceful location. The hotel is just perfect with a very elegant décor. Philippe and Nadine, the hotel owners, are the best and warmest hosts you...

I've lost count of the number of times that we've been back to the Cote Rivage. Probably five or six by now. My wife and I hop on the flight to Bergerac and it's just half an hour's drive to this quiet hamlet on the south bank of the Dordogne. Over the years we've got to know the owners, Philippe...

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here in September. We had intended to only at the restaurant one night, but after the first night changed our mind. Beautiful meals, a good size so you could eat 3 courses, beautifully presented and delicious. It helped we spoke some french, but it is not essential. The rooms are clean and comfortable...

A very friendly hotel with an excellent restaurant! We stayed there for the first couple of nights of a walking trip in the dordogne. At about 35 degrees, the great AC was much needed and much appreciated. The luxury, after about ten miles of walking, to hit the shower, put the AC on full blast and then getting a truly...

We stayed at the Cote Rivage in August 2014 but I have only just got around to leaving this review. This small hotel is situated on the banks of the Dordogne river with superb views from the restaurant and front facing rooms. Our room was probably one of the smallest and did not have a view but this was reflected...

This was such a lovely hotel to stay in and also had great food, we ate in the restaurant for two of the three nights we stayed. You will need a car, but the location is excellent, there is also some benches and tables out by the river, so you can picnic out there if you want to. There is...

Comfortable rooms facing the Dordogne River. The proprietor is a credentialed chef de cuisine who serves fine dinners – not the straight regional dishes, but standard ingredients cooked creatively. This is also a good place for Bergerac wines, and we enjoyed a glass of sweet Montbazillac with our foie gras first course. We stayed 3 nights, using this as a...
