A lush green Jungle. The road trip is as amazing as the destination itself. It has a wonderful, helpful and polite staff. One has to book in advance for the stay. The stay comprises of a safari (van), raft trip by the reservoir, dance by the tribals and a morning walk in the jungle. Food is cooked by a family... More

We went to Parambikulam on a day trip. Road from sethumadi to top slip is vet bad, bumpy and pot holes all the way till top slip. At top slip, we are surprised to see not enough people had come for a safari on a Saturday. So we moved on to Prambikulam. At Parambikulam there was a decent crowd and... More

We spent two wonderful days here. It's clean, the staff are friendly and really care about their jobs (when we offered our guide a tip, as you're expected to in Tamil Nadu he turned it down) and they proudly claimed that woman can travel there unaccompanied and she would be safe. Their wildlife conservation efforts are great.Saw animals (crocodile, wild... More

Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, though situated in Kerala, is surrounded by Tamil Nadu. It is managed by Kerala Forest Department and is well managed. They have different staying options. Treetop cabins, Bamboo-top huts, Cabins on island and Tented accommodation. Tented accommodation is where we stayed this time and is ideal for a family vacation. There are many tents, regular dining hall... More

Had visited Parambikulam Tiger Reserve in July 2016. Having read mixed reviews about the Tiger Reserve,we were not expecting a perfect jungle safari feel & also were expecting a lot of not so comfy stay @ Honey comb complex. But surprisingly every thing apart from the road was so good. I was checking with some private agents & was quoted... More

It is completely down to luck to which animals you see - from our experience, you will most likely see deer, warthog, peacocks, water buffalo and monkeys - which are all lovely animals to see. It is natural to be disappointed not to see wild elephants or tigers, but this is total luck! We were on a day trip with... More

Coming from a concrete jungle in the Far East, this vacation was a feast for my entire being...I am missing it already!!! 1. At the outset, let me state, I love Parambikulam with its forests, restrictions and rustic charm. Then you might wonder why I gave it a three star rating. That is because, for an average tourist, this might just be a huge disappointment. Parambikulam is only for folks who go for trip without expectations or they should be the type who... More
