Stayed 3 nights in early March. Rooms are clean and comfortable though the walls are thin and you can hear your fellow guests with ease. A basic kitchen had all we needed (no oven or freezer though ). Good shared living area. Nice setting on a farm and they showed us how they manage the animals which was good to...

In January I stayed here with my girlfriend. During our trip we stayed at several guesthouses. This one was a big relief because everything was very clean and felt luxurious. A few hours after leaving we were alerted that I had forgotten a pair of shoes. Fortunately, they were so nice and sent the shoes to my home address in...

Wonderfully nice staff, that are young farmers on the farm and also run the accommodation. The summer house was private for our family, housed 4 people in bed (our 11 yo son preferred the spacious attic and a mattress there with superb view) so the pricing was good per person. The beds were good (I'd have preferred two pillows per...

This was bar far the best value guesthouse I stayed in on my trip around north-east Iceland. Friendly staff, check-in in one building, room in another, had to ask for extension plug as only one working power socket. Bathroom a bit like a hostel (no shampoo or shower gel, like everywhere!), but room okay. Buffet breakfast was best one on...

PROS: Good wifi. TV room with comfy couch. Good breakfast. CONS: You cannot park in front of the door, if you a plenty of stock it is not usefull. Cooking space is tiny crooked place, crazy for the amount of people staying there and wanting to cook... You have to wait in line for your time to come.Really makes no...

This guest house has wonderful amenities. Lovely indoor picture windowed places to sit quietly and read, nice cooking facilities. It reflects a generous spirit in the heart of a most scenic area of Iceland.

The guesthouse is located in a strategic small village next to the Myvan lake attractions. The room was nice, but our room was next to the shared kitchen and the room smell like the cooked food the guests did. We do not like the bathroom: it smell very bad and also taste bad. However, the breakfast service was complete and...

The guesthouse is located at the southside of the Myvatn lake, with great views of the "pseudo-craters". I've been in iceland for 8 days now, and so far this was absolutely the most beautiful location i've stayed for the night! The guesthouse itself is also really nice, with gorgeous views from every single window. Besides that everything is very clean....

From the description in our guidebook, we were expecting a homely, welcoming farmhouse. This could not have been further from reality. Although the sign for reception points to the guesthouse, reception is actually around the back. A rude old lady informed us of this. Reception showed us our rooms and where to park, but then we were told off by...

Efficient US college dormitory style facilities. Room is very clean and comfortable. Good kitchen facilities. Friendly staff. Located near volcanic topographical terrain. The tab water has a weak odour of sulphur (not overly overbearing), but that is not surprising due to volcanic proximity.

Thank you for your comment, I´m glad you liked your stay at our guesthouse! In the newer houses we have a filter for the water so you can´t smell the sulphur and the plan is to get this filter for the older house - hopefully next year! I hope you had a nice time traveling around Iceland! Best regards Soffía...
